The evening was in full swing. The club was doing well, supplying and buying anything and everything. If you needed it, the wolves could get it for you, at a price of course. The dark club was scattered in leather sofas and various tables that had been somewhat restored to working conditions. They did not fall over when housing a few glasses. Shay stood by the door to one of the back rooms leaning against the wall with a smirk across his face. Behind the doors were his other booming business. The trade rooms, a place where you came to buy or sell...yourself. Prostitution in simple terms. Those selling themselves gained food, beer, cigarettes, shelter and those using would pay in food, alcohol and sometimes, just sometimes, oil. If a person brought oil or anything toward creating lighting and heating it was Shay’s duty to make sure they were well looked after.
He stood taking long swigs from a old whiskey bottle, necking down the liquid and letting it warm and throat and chest. He was bored and in half a mind to go into the trade rooms and get lucky. But where was the challenge in that, he fancied a challenge, or anything for that matter. Things were too quiet and Shay was getting twitchy.

Since leaving her parent's, she had gotten notorious for hoarding anything she could find. Being outside could be dangerous, and when you had a pretty face sometimes it didn't matter if you could defend yourself or not. So everything was kept close, but after going through her things Jayda realized that many of her belongings, her hidden treasures, were things she did not enjoy or use. After sorting through it all she came up with a box that she could get rid of, things she could use to try and get other items that would actually be of use. Once on the street she had heard of a trading place, a shady old building that people went to trade items, buy and sell. That's where she would take her box, hopefully somebody would need what she had and could give her something however small in return.
It was easy to balance the box against her hip and watch people as she ventured down to the rumored building. Having never actually been there made it hard, and she didn't need to bring unwanted attention to herself. But to her surprise, she found it, easily. Many different scents clung around the club, telling of it's daily traffic by many different people. Jayda let herself inside, glancing around as she took the few initial steps inside. The place reeked of alcohol, smoke and sex and it made her cringe just a bit as she continued inside. Once her eyes fell on an open spot on a couch, her legs carried her there effortlessly, making it appear as if she had a purpose for being there. And she did, but with every passing second she still wondered what it was.
Leaning back against the couch, Jay moved the box to sit on her lap and she made sure to bring her body forward to cover the contents. She didn't need everyone seeing what she had, not yet. Not until she could find someone to help her make sense of who to trade what with.

He would of been a blind man to miss her, and as she walked in he watched some of his pack eye her up. He glared at them, letting a growl roll off his lips from his throat, letting them know he had spotted her and she was his. They would be fools to challenge their leader. he left his bottle on what would be considered the bar area and in strong, confident strides moved to stand next to the sofa. His feral looking eyes scanned over the blonde female who he greeted with a wide smile.
"Hello," He said, "What you go in the box Darling?" He tried to peer inside, his senses coming alive as he caught the thick scent of lupine from her. Interesting, it had been a long time since a new wolf entered town. "I'm Shay Wilde...Owner here...You offering your services?" He licked his lips and let his eyes wonder a little, "Or you got something useful for me in the box?"

She was glancing around, getting more nervous with each passing second. If her parents had caught her here, she wondered what they would think. But she couldn't deny the strong smell of Lupine from within, and part of her wondered if maybe they had been here in there time and just never told her about it. When a man came and stood next to her sofa, her eyes trailed up the length of his body before she got to his smile and eyes.
"Hello," Her voice was soft as she tried to keep up with the conversation. But she frowned with his next comment, wondering why he cared. "I'm sure you'll know in all good time, if you need to know." She almost huffed at him, but caught the scent of familiarity from him, that of another Lupine. It made her frown widen, perhaps he was going to try some macho dominance thing with her, to get at what she had. But his introduction had her becoming even more uneasy than she had been. "Oh, I'm..." That was it. With a growl she stood and turned to glare at him, the box back to being on her hip. If he wanted a glance he could clearly see it's contents: a bottle of oil, small engine parts and car batteries that still had life in them.
"My 'services' are surely more than you can afford. So don't even try." She could feel the hair on the back of her neck stand up, ready for confrontation if it was going to turn into one.

Shay laughed loud, filling the room with the sound. His brow arched and his head crooked to one side he had to admire the female for having guts, and that growl was just so cute. Perhaps he should of at least seen the growl as aggressive, but coming from those peach lips it only made him chuckle more.
“Oooo,” He smirked and took a peek into the box, “Got a set of balls on you hey? And here i was thinking you would be a cute little puppy and roll over for me.” Shay tilted his head a little and slowly let his smirk fade and his eyes turn into feral amber orbs. His voice deepened, became husky, almost growling, “You have no idea who I am do you puppy? That was foolish on your part...” For the briefest of instants his animal brushed to the surface and his canines elongated as he growled a little. The other wolves in the area all reacted, backing up from the area, moving across to stand by the bar.
“My name is Shay Wilde...this is my establishment, these are my people...well...the mutts are...the others just have their uses...” He waved his hand in the general direction to some of the humans, “Who are you?”

A chill crept over her body with his laugh and how it filled the room. She watched his facial expressions and wanted to laugh as he crooked his head to the side. It was a move a puppy would do with something that caught it's attention. Her eyes watched him as he glanced into the box and made a comment. There was no way she was going to roll over for him, she wouldn't back down for anyone, and certainly not someone who didn't have her respect.
"If I did would that float your boat too?" She smirked at his balls comment. "If you want someone to roll over for you I'm sure you can find someone like that here, but I won't." Jayda watched as his eyes became amber orbs, reflecting of the wolf inside of him. His voice changed as well and she wondered if she should prepare herself for a fight. "No I don't, obviously some self important macho. And I am not a puppy." Her own growls began to escape her lips, she didn't like being seen as some little submissive pup. Glancing around she saw many back up, retreating from being close to them, it was in the same instant she felt the rise of his beast within him.
"I fail to see how my name is of any importance. Either I brought my things to the right location or I am terribly misguided, in which case I'll leave." She let one arm cross over her chest as she used the other one to hold the box against her. Ready to leave in an instant.

Shay resorted to smirking once more, his eyes amber and gold as he felt the air stiffen, his animal rising to the surface. He hated it when they did not play ball. Did he expect submission? No, but he at least expected some one to have the intelligence to realize who and what was standing before them. Be it the leader of the Lupines, or the main go to guy for the entire city. His power reached far and wide, regardless of being a wolf.
“You should of done your research...Puppy...” His words were low, deep in his chest almost, “Before you walk into something you do not understand. This is my establishment, I am the man who everyone goes to, everyone needs, everyone bargains with. You would be foolish to not at least recognize my name and my stature. But I will forgive this small mistake on your part...only for being one of my own...” His nostrils flared as he took in her scent.
“You here to do business or just look pretty?” He gave a wink then and watched as those around the club eased as they felt Shay pull back on his power, though his eyes remained amber and gold.

Part of her wanted to smack him down. She was sick of being refered to as puppy. If he couldn't give her some ounce of respect she would definitely not be using his services or whatever services he could provide her in exchange for her goods. She wasn't stupid, she knew the value of the things she had brought. And it wasn't like she was asking for much in return. "Research, right. Because I knew what this place was called or anything before I came. I had no idea. I had heard that I could bring things to trade here. Not who ran it or anything else, and frankly I don't care." She glanced around, the smell of sex tingling at her nostrils.
"And as for being one of your own, I belong to myself and keep to myself. I have never given anyone any trouble or asked for anything in return. I don't forsee the day when that will change, even if I crave to be around other Lupines." She stopped and almost didn't realize the words that had come out of her mouth. It was natural to feel alone. She didn't regularly run with anyone, preferring to keep to herself. But her dreams lately had been ones where she was running in a group, no longer alone. Jayda's eyes flashed over him once more as she listened to his question. "To do business. I'm sure there are people here prettier here than I am."
Moving the box from her hip she held it out for him to see it's contents. "I have no use for this stuff, hopefully someone else might. All I'm looking for is a few special glass panels. I know there has to be some around somewhere. But none where I have looked." She reached into the box and handed him a piece of paper with exactly what it was called. She had been told that if she found some of the glass it was possible to build a small solar panel. And that would be more useful to her than oil or engines.

He could feel the distaste in the air and it only made Shay more smug. Hell, if some one could not like him he was content in them disliking him. Either way there was a level of respect of power there, or so the smug wolf thought.
"Research, right. Because I knew what this place was called or anything before I came. I had no idea. I had heard that I could bring things to trade here. Not who ran it or anything else, and frankly I don't care."
"Oh but you should care, we must always care and check whose land we are entering upon. Or did you fail to get the memo that these are dangerous times we live in..." His eyes flashed serious, and while he did not know the woman he did care that shifters were easy picking on vampires, especially now humans were in short supply. Vampires! Shay would be happy when they were all wiped off the planet.
"And as for being one of your own, I belong to myself and keep to myself. I have never given anyone any trouble or asked for anything in return. I don't forsee the day when that will change, even if I crave to be around other Lupines."
Shay chuckled and looked to one of his wolves further back, "You hear that mate...she craves our company..." Shay took a step forward making sure his power spilled over her lightly, calling out to the beast that slumbered inside her. "Shouldn't deny what you crave sweetheart..."
He looked down into the contents of the box then, acting nonchalantly, "Glass panels eh?" Shay looked further into the box, "How many we talking about...you give me a number...I'll check what's in the box..see if it's a fair trade..." Shay said turning his tone back into one of business.

She wanted to huff at him, well actually it was more the wolf inside her that wanted to do that. Huff and walk away, head held just as high as before. But she wouldn't, somehow she knew that would be what he wanted and he would win. So she wouldn't, not until she was satisfied and had come to finish what she had originally wanted to do. Trade. "Listen, it's none of your concern really whether I care or don't care. Obviously I have managed to take care of myself up until this point. And I must say, research or not, coming in here is probably the riskiest thing I have done in over a month." A growl left her lips once more. Jayda had gotten the memo and ripped it up. She could take care of herself, always would be able to. She hoped.
Jayda's upper lip almost curled into a snarl when he chuckled, and then when he started talking to one of the other Lupines behind him she took a step back. Two against one wasn't fair, and while she was certain she could get away, she wanted to be able to get away with all her body parts attached. She knew about the hungry look most men had when they looked at her. A piece of meat. It didn't matter how bad the World around them was, some men only had that on the brain. Wide eyes looked defiantly up at Shay as he stepped closer, and she could feel the warm blanket of power coming from him, rousing the lupine inside of her. It stood it's ground, growling with hackles up. "My cravings are my own. And you'd do well to remember that."
Her head tilted almost in amazement as he went back to the topic of business, like nothing else had passed between them. The changes in disposition were going to give her whiplash. Jayda reluctantly moved the box into a position where he could see more of it. "I'm hoping for 4 panels but will not accept any less than 2. And they need to not be cracked. I don't know if that makes it harder or not." She wondered how he would know where to find such things, because if she could have, she would've found them herself.

He stood upright, his thumbs resting in the pockets of his jeans and he smirked, looking over his shoulder he spotted one of his pack members, "Matt, You still got those panels?"
Matt suddenly stood to attention like a soldier and nodded to Shay, "Truck load, back at the compound sir."
Shay smiled then looked back to Jayda, "Sure you only want 4? Can get you ten of you want, none cracked. Of course, we'll have to discuss upping your....payment.." He licked his lips and took in her scent again, his eyes flashing heated and feral.

She almost flinched when he called back to yet another Lupine hidden within the building. This one however had a name but acted almost if they were afraid of Mr. Wilde, like they had been trained by a drill sergeant. If joining with Shay meant that, then she would be the furthest away. And it made her worry for her safety within. If she needed to escape would he let her? Would there be a ton of other Lupine jumping on her to prevent exit?
But it did give her an answer about the panels. Maybe if she could just find where they kept them she could pilfer them herself and not have to worry about this trading business. Because it seemed like she wasn’t really getting anywhere with the items in her box, Shay kept hinting at wanting something else. And she wanted to hear him say it.
“And what exactly would be suitable payment for 10 panels Mr. Wilde? What is it I could give to you that you want?” Her voice was the closest thing to a purr that she could manage. She wanted to tease him, to hear his answer and then deny him. It would be fun.

“And what exactly would be suitable payment for 10 panels Mr. Wilde? What is it I could give to you that you want?”
Oh that was a loaded question and Shay did his best to hide the rather smug expression on his face. Taking a breath he pushed forth his business exterior and smiled politely,
"I'll take the items in the box, but you'll need to top it up. You seems to be pretty good at scavenging. I need two working vehicle batteries. Up for the challenge?" he certainly did not want to go out searching for them, and why not kill two birds with one stone.

She watched as he smiled somewhat politely at her, speaking with the fullness of a man set on doing business and nothing else. It was disappointing, she had wanted to tease him a bit. But she supposed she still could, it would just have to be a bit more crafty than before. Jayda felt her ego brush up inside when he complimented her scavenging ability. Basically everyone had to learn or live without. And she was not used to living without. Besides, there had been many places hidden away out of sight that people just didn't think to look anymore. She would start there, and dig through her own belongings. For the life of her she couldn't actually remember if she had a car battery. And now she wanted one.
"Pft. If you want to challenge me you are going to have to give me something more challenging to do. I think you are just grasping for an excuse to see me again." Jayda curved her pouting lips into a grin and winked at him. "Where do you want them once I've got them? Here? And where can I pick up my panels?" They were hers, it wouldn't be hard to find what Shay wanted. She was counting on it taking no more than a week if she really worked hard.
