Keira had awoken in the same mood that she always did anymore. Dressing in a simple black knee length dress, heels on her feet she made her way to the upper mansion. Her bright blue eyes glanced around at what used to be something stunning but now it just matched the rubble of the rest of the world. Nothing special about it at all. Shaking her head she moved through the destruction of her previous home and headed out to the park, her park and the one place she knew that she could go to get away from no one really and just think away from the constant memories that haunted her and the hunger that felt like it was ripping her stomach apart.
Pushing away the pain she would hunt later. It had been a few days since she last filled her stomach on the vile blood of a wild cow. Shuddering at the thoughts she missed the sweet taste of human blood. The strength that it had given her, now as she moved though the weeds and brush to her swing she caught the lingering scents of those that had passed through none brave enough to stay. Keira crossed her arms over her chest as she continued along, frustrated that she was still alone and how she felt as if she were a human for the first time in centuries. It was not a feeling she enjoyed especially as the dragons lived in their splendor. Growling at the thought she kicked a loose piece of cement off the path hearing it connect with a tree. Not even bothering to look she quickened her pace to her destination.
Her lips curved into a smile when she saw her swing, still standing after everything. Her arms uncrossed as she reached the ropes, letting her fingers caress it before she sat down. Slowly she swung herself, feet never leaving the ground. This was her place, and even though she was alone, or as alone as she had ever been it was where she came to get away. Happier memories clung to this swing, unlike the ones that haunted her in the mansion. Relaxing fully she thought of those happier memories resting her cheek on the rope. Humming to herself she knew she would sit here for a long while just by herself as no one was ever around anymore.

Alone again, finally...or so he thought as he walked into this place that felt safe, this place that felt quiet and drenched in loneliness. It felt as though he was falling far far down into a deep and dark abyss. He continued on, deeper and deeper into the park, listening to the sweet sound of silence, how it made a choir of sounds within his soul rather than his ears. It was very eerie here...but nevertheless, he enjoyed it. He stood still for a moment, enjoying the sky, the stars and the moon, their light glow welcoming and friendly during these troubled times, eventually, he sitting down to enjoy the calming sky. It was such a great form of stress relief, how it removed him from society at least for a second so that he too could feel as though he were up there, shining brightly from the heavens and down onto the ground where he truly stood.
Sighing, he stood and continued on, making his way over the cracked pathway of cement, viewing the plethora of weeds and dead, rotting trees, a graveyard of nature that stood as a testament that all things will come to an end some day. Letting out yet another sigh, he kept on going, his footsteps soft but that wouldn't of mattered if he was trying to stay hidden, little did he realize that he was not only human, but genetically altered to be vampire cattle as well as easy to track. Although, he pursued the path once more, ignorantly, not seeing that fate would bring someone new into his life, that someone being none other than a Vampire.
He stood there in a field of weeds and tall grass, looking up the slight hill formed by the roots of the great tree that seemed to still retain life within it's branches, as if the gods had chosen to mark this tree with immortality. He then next noticed the swing that hung from one of the great, powerful arms of this massive tree, how it held there a being both feared and revered by man, a Vampire. However, he didn't seem to flee, instead he approached with ignorance, now standing but a few feet from the Vampire, or so he guessed her to be as he said to her, simply, "Hello, My name is Marc Raush, but please, simply call me Hollow," being a gentleman and bowing lightly before her as to show a sign of respect to her. He had a feeling that it was probably better to do so, lest he wanted to have his head removed from his shoulders. He next went on to saying, "I understand that you are a Vampire, or so I guess, and that I am a human, but will you please hold a moment if not for the sake of civility? I understand that you gods of a species hunt us like we are merely mice, but I would ask if you would be willing to make a bargain with me rather than to simply take my blood and then kill me where I stand," then standing his ground, hoping she would give in to reason and not lust. It was a nice evening, but not nice enough to die, at least not nice enough for him.
He was dealing with a powerful creature here, this green wool trench coat wearing adventurer known as Hollow and he knew it, yet, at this proximity he found himself in yet another quandary seeing as he would have little time to react if she were to deny him the time to hear out the rest of his offer and then decide if she was to kill him or agree.

Slowly she continued to rock herself on the swing, finger tips still lightly caressing the worn rope. Her mind was on happier times, full stomach and remembering when the park was beautiful. People would walk it day and at night. It was always filled with someone but now like the mansion itself it was empty. Very few animals ever ventured into the park it was as if they sensed that they would become prey. When the younger vampires filled the area they had chased away all life, and she and the few other stronger vampires that remained had chased them out or removed the danger that they posed to themselves and others. Life wasn’t like that anymore, it was as if her human life was coming back to haunt her. Her stomach ached constantly but she was very proud to feed on the vile blood of animals as much as she needed. Keira was to proud to admit and show just how weak she was becoming, the others still feared her wrath and let her be. She had began to fall into the pattern of doing things, patterns, repetitiveness kept her sane, or one could say kept her from going insane.
Closing her eyes she continued to daydream about the past. She didn’t know how long she had truly been there by herself swinging when a new scent tickled her nose. It was new, and smelled divine, and by how the scent continued to get stronger she was going to assume that it was walking towards her unknowingly. For many of her kind if the smell of something so delicious walking towards them, they would not have remained sitting where they were. So many that she knew would have taken cover and tried to take it, which she was guessing was some type of human, special by its scent but human all the same, would have tried to jump it and take by force. One thing that she had been taught was to never take anything by force that you could not easily get by another mean. This didn’t mean that manipulation and lying didn’t often come into play but that she was never to force any human no matter how her stomach cramps for blood, to give what they wouldn’t give willingly. She assumed that this went for shifters as well as she had never had to feed from them on a regular basis and many kept themselves hidden away carefully and were more protected them ever.
Next, she heard the footsteps as they drew nearer to the swing and to her. Someone had to be very lost or maybe the liked her dying park. Leaving her cheek against the rope she continued to swing at the same slow rhythm, feet never lifting up off of it once. When the footsteps stopped a distance away from her she sat up and looked towards where they stopped. Her eyes falling upon a man that smelled so good she could have wrapped her arms around him in an instant and tried to woo him to her bed, to let her see why he smelled so delicious. Not moving to get up off the swing her fingers curled around the rope a bit tighter as she watched him approach her. Now that was just interesting, a human male, no doubt was walking straight towards her. Her lips curved into a soft smile as she lowered her eyes a bit, looking at her shoes as if something interesting was on them. Keira only lifted her eyes when he stopped so close to her. He was either very brave, stupid, or she would have to be ready for him to pull out any type of weapon on her.
Keira pulled her cheek from the rope of the swing when he offered her his name, a nickname and then bowed before her. Her chin lifted as she smiled at him, Marc, she thought. Not a name she recognized and it had her wondering just why he was bowing before her. Did he know who she was? And he was playing her, if he was, just the right way. Showing her that she was the better, stronger person. She repeated his nickname ‘Hallow,’ letting it roll off her tongue as he continued, the whole time she never stopped swinging lightly. When he said that he guessed she was a vampire her shoulders just lifted and fell as she chuckled softly letting him continue. The more that came out of his mouth though pulled her in more and more. He called her species, vampires, god. Oh that made her beam inwardly but her face remained soft and neutral on the outside. Slowly she stilled the swing and sat there.
“A bargain?” she asked standing up from the swing, Her hands moved to smooth out the soft black material of the dress. Her eyes lifted to meet his, “Why ever do you think that I would just take your blood and then kill you?” she asked softly as she moved closer to him. Still leaving him enough space to feel comfortable around her, or as comfortable as one could. Smiling she moved quickly closing the gap between them. Looking up at him she rested her one hand against his chest right over his heart. “I would like to hear this bargain that you speak of, You have my word that I will not kill you…” she let the words trail off. He could finish the sentence however he wanted to in his head but right then she would not finish it. He could be a hunter, out to kill her, or he could just be someone who wanted death. Keira would wait to hear him out.

He blushed lightly at how she said his nickname. He could tell she wasn't the average Vampire which intrigued him even further. However, he froze as though he'd turned to very stone when she came forth, even closer. As beautiful as she was, beauty often betrays things, especially when it comes to Vampires. Yet, suddenly he let go, a warm feeling in his heart replacing his last or fear. He gave in to the beauty of the vampire, let it fill him with far more pleasant thoughts and then it came to him, he would change the terms of the agreement and they would be something more to his interest. Her lips, how the moved as she spoke seemed to maximize the range of her power to captivate with the sound of her voice, even though she focused no such form of Vampiric mesmerizing on him. He drank it in, it stirring his blood and new feelings in his mind, body, and soul. These were ancient and very secret thoughts that seemed like a fire that had only been a flicker not so long ago. It wasn't even the power of words now though, no, it was the power of an old and reawakened past as he saw those same flickers in his mind as he did many times before, during his mysterious blackouts. But the woman's face he'd seen so many times before was the sole image he saw the most in his mind now. He saw himself there with her though, touching her, kissing her. Such a soft touch she had, one that seemed impossible to acquire once more. He didn't bother with her questions, he found himself caught in an illusion of sorts, his mind swirling about the thoughts of the young woman who'd plagued his blackouts so many times over.
As she laid her hand against his chest, he stiffened a moment, but eventually let himself free again, giving in to the temptation of simply standing there as he wrapped his arms around her beautiful body, holding her out of wanting comfort. He'd hoped she wouldn't mind, saying to her, "I'm sorry, something is just overwhelming me. Ghosts perhaps," letting go and stepping back immediately, not meaning to cause any trouble.
Strange, the feelings he felt echo off of her that affected him so greatly. It was strange, this, how he had the feeling of wanted to do or answer practically anything she asked of him. She almost seemed like a different person. A strange feeling, strange as this park, how just being there felt nice or maybe it was the lonely feeling getting to him that finally did him over. "So, do you live here? I'm not actually from here, this area at least," his comfort here was disturbingly increasing, rapidly too to almost make it worrying. Yet, it all seemed to slip away, as if it were retreating into mist and becoming lost, foggy in his mind. Her touch was more than it seemed at least the natural feel of it. However, the most obscure thing to happen was that instead of the Vampire that stood there with her hand against his chest moments ago, it was the girl from his thoughts. Yet those thoughts died quickly as she became the woman who originally stood there with him that evening.
It was only when questioned about his bargain did he speak, getting right to the point as she'd asked of him, he still allowing her hand to touch his chest as gently as she had it. He enjoyed it, yet something ancient in his mind seemed to want more from her, but he wasn't sure what. So, instead of saying that he would exchange blood for his freedom to leave, he changed his bargain to allow him the pleasure of being her company and newest acquaintance , if at least for a while.
So, there, standing so still, looking on into her eyes, he spoke his bargain,"I would like to give you that which you crave so much, freely. However, in exchange, I wish merely your company and friendship. Is this a fair agreement? I've no qualms with you and so I would much rather begin a friendship with you. You don't mind, do you?"
His question made him sound needy for something or someone, in essence showing, if she didn't already know, that his mind had seen something in her that caused him to be extremely captivated by it, a slave to his own mind, triggered by something she'd said or done, things flickering like moths set ablaze, burning for a moment and then going out until the next one's turn. This, of course, was a problematic thing for Hollow, seeing as it left him at a disadvantage that he couldn't resist due to it being caused by something in his own head. It was as though he had become zombified or enslaved by something, his body though, suddenly giving out to yet another of his famed blackouts as he fell, eyes fluttering until they shut, he on the ground before her as he experienced his "dreams" once more.

Keira watched him, inwardly amused at how he blushed, the blood rose to his cheeks as he stood there. Tilting her head a slight bit to the side she just smiled at him. It had been a very long time since she caused anyone's cheeks to flush by just repeating a soft word. This one was also not the flush of anger that she caused many of those that remained. It was something she had almost forgotten existed as no one ever blushed around her any longer. Keira was dubbed the bitch of the mansion and it only continued to get worse the more Gille's remained away. Sighing softly she pushed the image of her sire out of her head as she stood up. This human had her intrigued, offering to bargain with her when she could easy just move to him and snap his neck.
Moving towards him she noticed how he froze, standing there stiff just as if he were made of stone. Once he did relax with her being so very close to him she closed the distance between them. Placing her hand on his chest, feeling the beat of his strong heart beneath her finger tips. He was so very tempting there, it wouldn't take much at all to get him in a position that she wanted to she could feed, kill the hunger in her body. Not yet she told herself and remembered Gille's words as her blue eyes looked up and met the males eyes. His body tensed for a few seconds Keria didn't move, didn't press harder. If he would have turned an ran from her she would truly hunt him but as he stood there getting used to her she was more than capable of keeping those instincts at bay. When he finally did relax at her touch leaning into her hand a bit more she smiled at him showing the smallest hint of a fang. It seemed this human had other things on his mind or he was day dreaming about something.
His arms wrapped around her pulling her more tightly against his body. Closing her eyes she didn't stiffen as she should have but breathed in the rich scent of him and his blood. Licking her bottom lip she looked up at him confused when he pulled his arms away and apologized. Her hand slid a little bit lower on his chest but remained where it was. Arching an eyebrow at him she shook her head. "Ghosts haunt us all human" She did not let him see in her face or her body just how good it felt to have someone's arm wrap around her again. The only thing was, if she would have known just what he was doing she would have moved out of the way. Keira had been punishing herself by not becoming close with anyone, taking Gille's leaving as a form of punishment though it wasn't truly. Hallow asked his question and she smiled at him. "I do not live here in this park but close by" she knew that the mansion was protected well, it had after all survived the destruction the humans caused. She wasn't dumb enough to let slip where she slept every day, or walked the empty hallways.
"How did you end up in this city Hollow?" she asked as he stared at her oddly. Humans were odd creatures to her, they had changed but this one with his smell and the way he looked at her, was confusing her. It was if she looked familiar to him. There was no way that was possible, judging by his age he couldn't have been very old and she had been around for centuries. Asking her question about what he wanted to bargain with she watched his eyes meet hers once more. Raising her eyebrow she listened to him and had to bite back a laugh. A soft chuckle was all she let escape. He wanted to give her blood in exchange for friendship. When she noticed that he wasn't joking, the look on his face showed how serious he was. "Blood for friendship?" she asked studying his face, her features going harder then they had been the whole time she had been talking to him. Shaking her head she pushed her demons down and gave a gentle shrug of her shoulders. "It is a fair trade, but Hallow what if I do not want to let you go..." she asked slowly letting her hand slip up his chest, finger tips lightly caressing his neck. "How would that change our bargain if I craved your blood or possibly even your companionship?"
Why on earth was she actually giving him the option. He was standing there so close to her she could feel his pulse against her tongue, offering her his blood. Freely and all she had to do was give him a companion. Maybe she just desperately needed contact with someone who wasn't afraid of her wrath. Shaking her head she couldn't beleive herself but let him. He didn't have the chance to answer her questions, he might not have even of heard them before he fainted, blackouted, whatever one wanted to call it. She watched as his body went limp and fell to the ground at her feet. Keria glanced around them before lowering herself to the ground. They couldn't stay out in the open like this, scooping his large body into her arms she carried him with ease as if he was nothing more than an infant. Going to the only place that she could think of to go she took him to the mansion. Moving to the wing that was left standing she shook out the sheets before placing him on them. If others smelled him they would catch her scent as well and hopefully be smart enough to stay away. Now she sat on the one side of the bed legs curled under her just watching him, wondering what caused this and why he was so odd.

As he felt her lift him, he saw it happen before him, he having an out of body experience, watching her lift him with ease and carry him to a run down mansion. He watched as she carried him through the halls and into a room until she set him down in a bed, seeing as she sat there, waiting. However, the view slowly blurred out and went black and then for a few moments it stayed this way until he heard the sound of men yelling and he saw bright yellow lighting in all manner of direction, hearing the whizzing of bombs drops and aircraft flying high over head. He moved through the darkness as the sound became further and further and images began to appear, images of himself in a soldiers uniform, fighting. Then came images of himself somewhere else, somewhere new. The figures were dark, but he saw four in total, one to his right, another in front of him, one a ways behind the one in front and one beside the other. He saw himself stab the one to the right then shoot the one a bit off as he saw himself roll out of the way of the one in front's attack, he then stabbing him as he stood and aimed his gun at the last figure, saying something to him, however it didn't come out as anything that he could possibly understand, the words too sloshed around and blared out. Yet when he fired the whole world went black once more, only for a second where after he saw the man once more, yet now he saw his face. He looked on into those icy cold blue eyes and knew what he was from then on, a Vampire. His long black hair swayed softly from beyond what seemed to be a tank. Then...it hit him, the day he first saw life, it was from a tank. He had been there...
Shocked by this, he was incapable of holding himself in. However, what truly shocked him was what happened next. A moment later, the Vampire brought before him a beautiful young girl...the same from his previous blackouts. Shocked, he watched in horror at what was to happen next, she screaming as the Vampire grasped her and bit into her neck like that of a beast, ripping the flesh away as he drank, a dark hatred looming in Hollow's heart from this as he grew filled with rage. Soon, he began to hit against the glass, yelling, well, to the best of his ability as the lights on the tank lit a bright red and the alarm began to sound. It wasn't much longer though, the nightmarish blackout soon ended as he awoke, sitting up sweating profusely as he panted heavily, trying to take in all of this information that was oh so much. Looking about at where he was, the sheets he occupied and the bed...he calmed himself, not for too long though, his heart still beating fast as he looked around the room, remembering it from his blackout, finally meeting eyes with her.
He sighed then, finding an inner comfort that only lightly lowered his current feelings. He'd just watched...and yet he could do nothing to save her, whoever she was, from him, that dreadful man, that terrible, monstrous man. As great a hate he began to build for Vampires then, he lowered it, listening now to his own voice of reason, in his head, rather than using it's wisdom upon another this time. He remembered what he thought of Vampires and how it was not the mere fact one is a Vampire that they would go so low as to kill for sheer pleasure, but that it is a vile person which makes a Vampire become a monster. After all, this woman, although she was offered blood, she gave him her hospitality, a kindness when she could have easily drank from him. It seemed she hadn't even harmed a single hair upon his head so he knew she was just or at least fair.
He smiled to her then, looking at her there, his thoughts renewed; if she, the one from his blackouts wished that he be here, listening to her, this vampire, then he would. No, he'd do more than stay with her, he would be with her as a friend or at least that was what he took from it, he not capable of understanding fully what love meant. Something in his mind just seemed to tell him that she was the right person to see or be around and he would follow that request with honor. He would not let the mysterious woman's request be without an ear, settling his internal vow to stay by this Vampire and to help her with whatever she may need.
He quickly began to speak, looking at her, the smile still present, much like his pleasant thoughts,"Could I stay here with you? I've nowhere else to go and no one left. Although I am only human and not so world traveled as yourself, I have read many stories and fairy tales that I could possibly share with you. Also, my bargain still stands, I will give you which you need to survive, I merely want a friend. I can trust you are a fair being, one I can't quite call entirely benevolent, but somewhat in your own right. I'm sure you'll see that it is far better a deal than any you've ever been offered around lately, right?" he sat there then, silent, looking on at her, the smile still there, always there, for he saw there, looming over her, that same girl from before, a ghost who wished to make sure that she would accept, a guardian angel watching over him...

She had to have been so lonely and surprised by his show of affection, his words that when he blackout and fell to her feet she scooped him up in her arms. Carrying him effortlessly as if he weighed nothing more than an infant. It was awkward with the height difference but she managed easily. Carrying him to the mansion, the only true building left standing near the park. It was the safest area as well, but she would not take him downstairs she still knew way to little about him to do something like that yet. The one wing of the upper mansion was still standing, her wing and that was where she took him. Her one room, the one created for when guests were there where she sometimes had actually spent her mornings. The room was nothing like it had been in its splendor but the sheets were still decent and the bed still comfortable. Keira laid him down gently on the bed looking at him before slipping beside him, her legs tucked underneath her.
This human was odd, different, she could sense it. His smell wasn’t his only give away. Sitting there she watched as slight changes appeared on his face, like he was dreaming. The puzzling thing to her was what caused it, what could he possibly be dreaming. He offered her blood, wanted her friendship then blacked out. All to strange for her. Slipping off the bed as he seemed that he was going to be out for awhile she made her way to her old vanity, running her fingers along the old wood. The dust and grime came off with her fingers and she rubbed them together shaking her head. This room had once been beautiful. Leaning forward she found the one special compartment in the one drawer and opened it. A familiar click made her smile as she found that no one had touched anything in it. Just as she was about to pull stuff out she heard his heart rate accelerate. Keira stopped closing the drawer she moved back to him sliding up closer beside the male.
Not knowing what she could do she tugged up her dress and straddled his legs. Looking down at him she studied his face. He was a true mystery to her, it also had her wondering if all human’s were now this odd. Soft fingers grazed his cheek and then she placed a hand over his beating heart. Something he was dreaming, seeing, whatever he was doing had him in almost an adrenaline rush. His blood pumped through his veins so quickly that she couldn’t resist the urge to lick her lips. Leaning forward she wanted to study him more see how far she could tempt herself because she couldn’t find the urge to pull away and go back to her hidden memories. Keira felt the sudden change in him, slipping off his legs she sat back in the spot she had been originally. Blue eyes just looked at him as he looked around his new settings. It was unheard of a vampire protecting a human and she was doing that just that protecting him.
Keira smiled back at him when his attention fell back to her. He pulled her out of her own puzzling thoughts. There were so many things that she could have done to him and she didn’t. Now he awoke from whatever dragged him away and yet he still smiled. When was the last time she could honestly say that anyone, especially a human smiled at her. He knew what she was as well. Sighing softly she smirked at his rambling, though it wasn’t truly rambling. Tilting her head to the side she glanced around the room but let him continue. “This isn’t where I stay Hollow.” her words were soft as she continued, “This was a very, very long time ago. If you stay with me you do know you are putting yourself in danger of others, my kind, to survive there you would have to stay very close to me at all times and I need to trust you when I sleep” Her eyes found his as she spoke, the idea of having a companion was so tempting.
He needed to know the danger of staying with her, there were not very many left in the underground mansion but enough. Enough to cause issues, problems for the both of them. “Honey you have no idea just how benevolent I can be” she chuckled and then stopped at his final question. Moving closer to him she leaned forward , closer to him. “Much better as everyone avoids me like the plague yet you came to me and made an offer, its odd” she studied him as she spoke and spoke truly to him. He was slowly winning her over, but she didn’t let it on like she very well could have.

He sat, captivated by her beauty, aroused mentally by her golden locks that reminded him of fresh wheat in the sunlight. Her smile, so sweet, so angelic, it seemed to pull off the dark torments of this world so rich with filth and strife. He dared move ever closer to her, knowing full well what she was, getting up from the bed as he moved in, wanting to take on the fear that all men held a deep pool of mystery in their hearts for. He didn't care at that point, moving close to the char and looking down at her, continuing to speak then, looking deeply into her eyes. He was drawn to them by unseen forces at work, captivated and astounded by their glow. He found himself enraptured as he knelt and began to speak, something quite amazing, a poem,
“Soft, sweet, glowing angel, So sweet is your gaze, So sweet like the breeze. I find myself entrapped by your glow. Like an insect in amber, helpless to resist. Oh, so soft a gaze, it whispers to me. Like sweet cherubs beneath the cherrywood tree. A touch so warm, so warm like a thousand sunsets. A fire that sparks with my chest. Burning madly, brightly shining by, like a bright star It’s hot white light pouring into the core of my very soul You make me feel pleasant, you make my feel whole. Eternity a simple thing, desired by both fool and king. Yet you have it, simple and pure. From beauty and passion and the fire of your heart”
Finishing, he stood once more, blushing lightly as he said to her, “errr…I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be such a forward person with my emotions. I-I don’t know what it is that’s come over me…something about you is just so…beautiful,” he sighed as he stood to continue talking, “I really do apologize for my conduct, it isn’t right of me. But yes, trust me when I say this, I mean this well, I am a trustworthy human and I will relinquish all of my weaponry if need be to show it. I don’t wish to cause you any sort of rift between us and yes, I can agree to staying close to you at all times. It would only make sense, seeing as some Vampires lack the pause in action for words as you. Unfortunately, I’ve had to kill my share of vampires like that. But just know they attacked first, always first. Otherwise they would still be standing on this earth to this very day,” he threw off his coat and undid his holsters and removed his little knife, putting it in a pile on the floor, holding the top button of his shirt as he said, “do you need to search any further? Its entirely fine if you need me to take my clothing off, paranoia is something not sated unless the facts are right,” he stopped there, looking into her eyes, letting off a smile. He realized how foolishly stupid he’d made himself sound then, blushing as he tried to hold back his laughter. He couldn’t any longer, bursting into a fit of laughter, falling to the ground, as he grasped her chair to help himself up, slowly getting to a stand as he exhaled and inhaled deeply, tears of laughter in his eyes. He felt he wasn’t being how he should’ve though, calming down as he took on a light smile, sitting on the edge of the bed in front of her as he let out a simple sigh of enjoyment, happy to be there.

He studied her and she let him. Her eyes just looked back at him casually, not moving from the spot she was at. Clasping her hands on her lap Keira watched him move closer to her. It appeared that he really wasn’t phased by her at all. This was all something she wasn’t used to, vampires avoided her like she was the plague to their species and once someone knew what she was they tried to kill her. Not this human though. Shaking her head Keira smiled at him watching him move off the bed. Her eyes followed him while she still remained sitting there like a statue. The occasional turn of her head and the movement of her eyes is what proved that she wasn’t.
Keira watched him as he moved back to her and kneeled before her. He was doing well at confusing her. Looking down at him she slid to the end of the bed but did not lower her feet. Tilting her head a little to the side as he spoke she blinked a few times at the words that he had spoken to her. It was beautiful. Lifting her hand from her lap Keira pushed some of her hair out of her face and behind her one ear as she spoke to him. “Such beautiful words Hollow” her voice was soft as she kept her eyes on him. Seeing the blush paint his cheeks she chuckled softly. He blushed at his own words, that was even more enjoyable. “Do not apologize to me over what you just spoke. You have no idea how long it has been since someone has spoken to me in that way.” again she spoke the truth to him.
Watching him stand she straightened up and let her legs slid off the side of the bed. Leaning back she listened to everything that he had to say. Chuckling she just arched an eyebrow. “Weapons yes will have to be removed, can not risk myself or the others where I will be taking you. Just know this Hollow, I will trust you on your word right now, but one mistake, or attack on me or mine and I will not hesitate to put you down” her words were the coldest they had been. This was the tone others were used to hearing. Looking at him she softened her features once more as he began to strip of his weapons for her. At his question she smirked and slid off the bed moving towards him.
“I would rather do it myself” she smirked showing him her fangs. Just as she was about to stand up off the bed she watched him start to laugh. Freezing her eye brow lifted as she watched him fall to the ground in a fit of laughter. Shaking her head she slipped back onto the bed watching as he pulled himself back up and moved sitting beside her. Smiling at him she slid behind him. Running her hands down his chest she rested her chin on his shoulder. Keira was feeling for anything that shouldn’t be there first then she would enjoy the feel of a man beneath her fingers. Content that there was nothing hidden in his shirt she kissed his neck slowly pressing her chest a bit more firmly against his chest as she effortlessly undid his shirt. Smiling she teased his pulse with her lips as she whispered against his skin. “Last chance to turn and run… Hallow” Smiling she turned her cheek so that she could glance up at him while her finger tips caressed the bare flesh of his chest.

He smiled at her as she told him such sweet things about his words, it made him happy to know she'd loved them. As she spoke of many things, he found only one thing to bestow a small sense of fear in him from what she said and it wasn't what she said, but how she said it. It was cold and unkind which struck his heart only for a moment, being like a dog to his master almost, rebuilding from the blow quickly, retaining the smile as she went to unbuttoning his shirt until it was merely cloth, falling to the floor as her chest met his, feeling her fingers against his back, feeling the softness slide down his back so slowly, gently. He felt such a rush of feelings there, yet he held himself back, he himself felt confused and didn't know what to do. However, what he did next was something he felt right doing. Slowly he brought a single hand to her face, touching her cheek so gently as he softly caressed it. He felt he could just drop all his cares in the world right then, like he could hold her tight and watch them vanish before his eyes.
She had him there as she gave him a single chance more to run, he replying with a light laugh, "I'd never run from this feeling, not in a million years. I actually feel like the world isn't going to crush me like an insect for a change, like everything is calm and peaceful," his hand moving to her shoulder as the other did the same, he looking at her as he quickly embraced her in a hug, kissing her lightly on the cheek. Although he was half naked within her embrace, he just wouldn't of felt right if he'd kissed her lips. He moved an arm then, his left, slowly up her back until he rested it upon the back of her neck, lightly massaging it as he held close to her.
"can you tell me if you're happy...? I just want to know," he whispered lightly into her ear, tightening his hug lightly around her, the answer would mean a lot to him, one could be sure. It meant that either this wasn't the right feeling or that it was and this was just a natural thing, a beautiful thing, in his eyes anyway. He was only human after all, he loved emotion and life to no extent but he didn't fully understand it, especially a thing like love. He understood the concept of course, along with the nature of it, yet he didn't understand when it was there in the flesh, calling him, telling him it was the right feeling for himself and the other. After all, he'd never known the real feeling of love before so this was something so new, so alien to him that it seemed to make him feel as if he were caught in a blizzard, blinded and flustered as to where he should go.
Then, something new for the first time happened, he felt it and knew it was there: Passion, the passion of knowing he was wanted, the passion for her, and his passion to be there with her that moment. It eased his soul in as he hugged her, nuzzling against her there, shirtless as his reasonably fit chest stayed close to her at all times. Oh how he just couldn't seem to get her out of his head, the silly man, at a point where he'd reached critical mass and felt like he was just going to explode. His heart opened so greatly that he would die if she'd deny him now. He was well past the breaking point, now her little lovebird forever and after, a thing set in motion by the weight of the world and the place that they occupied. Of course, this little bird was determined not to fly away from her, wanting to stay close to her heart, no matter the fact that she was a vampire, no matter the fact she could easily snap him in two, and no matter the fact that he would have to throw down his weapons and his safety and leave it in her hands there and now.
So long as there was happiness, he thought, then nothing could ruin the moments he felt he'd share with her. He truly felt that his love for her and how being there together made him so invincible, so safe when he really wasn't, as if his gentle ways would protect everything from the cruelty of others and their horrible plans or thoughts against them. He just couldn't see it, the bad side to her too, only a good side, every single inch of her. He kept trying to see every inch of her too but each time his mind would find a way to say it was a good thing to the logical portion of his brain. He just felt right and just natural there in this place with her in his arms, was that such a bad thing? To him it only told him that love didn't matter if you were a Vampire or a human, love could be found in anything and anyone and that if you had love then you'd be happy. He also felt that love was something that couldn't be killed, like it was as invincible as the people it made feel that way.

Keira enjoyed the words greatly that he spoke to her. She was not one to be one over by such sweet words. Like all women she liked to be complemented and well with her she enjoyed it a lot. It was one of the big reasons she fell so easily for Gilles but it was more than that as well. Pushing those thoughts away now was not time to dwell in the past when she had a male before her so willing to play with the devil. Keira had to let him know what would happen if he crossed her. There was always a fate worse then death as well. As there were many vampires still around and so many of them would love the taste of human blood along their tongues once more. She was going to be very, very greedy and selfish and claim him all to herself. No one would dare touch him unless they wanted to feel her wrath or possibly loose their long undying life at her hands. Smirking at the thought she slid behind him undoing the buttons of his shirt before sliding around quickly to the front of him and pushing the material off his shoulders. Once it was gone she didn’t care what happened to it from there. Hollow’s chest was bare as she slid up closer to him, placing her knees on either side of his legs. Finger tips lightly caressed his back as her blue eyes looked into his.
She felt the movement of his hand as it slowly lifted and he caught her a little off guard when he placed it on her cheek. Smiling she let out a soft sigh of contentment as he caressed her flawless skin. Keira should have known stripping his shirt, the position that they were in that he would want to touch her as well. As she looked into his eyes she tried to remain the ice goddess with her emotions. Not wanting to feel anything to deep. All of that would have to come in time but she did greatly enjoy the feel of his fingers along her skin. It brought back a flood of memories and a single tear slid down her cheek. No other ones followed and she didn’t let on why it fell. Memories of the past always seemed to flair up at the oddest of times but it was as if the past and the present time were mixing in her head. Hollow was tearing down her defenses that she had spend more than 75 years putting up. Smirking she leaned forward and kissed his neck giving him his final chance to run, be free and never have to look back. Keira was being fair, unusually so, her stomach still cramped from hunger and her own pride but she was giving the best meal on two legs a chance.
His reply had her lean back and smile at him. Studying his face he was such a puzzle but with those words she was going to have the chance to see if she could actually figure this one out. “Then that is settled then” her words were soft. “The world is a vicious place but I will try the best that I can to keep you feeling the way you do now” Keira didn’t speak anymore not wanting to promise something she could never keep. Feeling his hands move to her shoulders she then felt him embrace her in a hug once more. Stiffening up a little she chuckled and held him back loosening her hold around his body when he placed a soft kiss to her cheek. Blinking a few times she looked at him when he moved his one hand up her back. Feeling his fingers massage her neck she relaxed into the touch, the feel. If only he knew how long it had been since she had last been held. The question that he asked caught her off guard. Shrugging her shoulders she laughed softly. “I will be honest with you. This I will have to say is the happiest I have been in years.” Her words were spoken in barely a whisper against his ear as his grip tightened around her body once more.
Hollow kept placing her mouth so close to neck with each embrace. Licking her bottom lip she rested her cheek on his shoulder for a few moments. Leaning forward she placed a soft kiss on beating pulse. Resisting the urge to sink her fangs into his skin Keira just kept her lips pressed to it. So many emotions were in the air, his, hers and a few were mixtures as well as stuff from her past. Sitting here with him she wondered if her sire ever had these conflicting thoughts when he was with her, when she was a human, fragile but yet her will, his will was strong. There was something odd with him as well. Not just with how he trusted her but his scent, his blacking out it was all odd, new to her. Pulling her lips away from his pulse she caressed his back pulling him closer to her. Leaning back enough to look him in the eyes she smiled. Everything had a reason and everyone had their own path to take. She was pulling him with her. Licking her top lip then her bottom she smiled placing her lips almost against his as she spoke. “This maybe the only time I ask nicely…” she started before she heard footsteps in the mansion. Growling she placed a hard kiss to his lips before slipping off the bed and moving to the door quicker than he could see. Placing her hands on either doorframe she glared at the male that she saw walking towards her old room.
Looking back at Hollow she placed a finger over her lips. Motioning for him to be silent. Looking back at Giether she smirked. “I believe it is forbidden to trespass in the north wing. My wing” she replied to the male vampire. Looking at him with cold hard eyes.
Giether looked at her and shook his head, “You are hiding a human Keira, don’t play me dumb princess.” The smell lingered through the mansion and he wanted a taste of whatever the little bitch had hidden in her room. He knew damn well he wasn’t supposed to be in her wing. Everyone knew to stay away from her, she was twisted cold and heartless. Had been ever since her Sire left her. Others lost ones they loved as well but Keira became twisted yet very sane and it was a scary mix.
“The human is mine” she growled and took a step from the door way straight at him. “You will not touch him, no one will” a smirk curved on her lips as she poked her finger hard into his chest. “Giether, I will damn well play you anyway I want to. Remember I was the only one to scar that handsome face…. Would you like another” she looked up at him, her chin lifting as her eyes turned emotionless her heat tilting just a little to the side.
He growled at her words, lifting a hand to his cheek his eyes narrowed. “You win this time Keira but one day you will get what is coming to you princess” with that he turned and disappeared back down the hallway.
Shaking her head she moved back into her room and looked back at the male sitting on her old bed. Offering her hand to him she tried to let the tension pour from her features. “Not here… Will you come with me now? I do not want anymore unwanted interruptions with you” she smiled as giving him his last chance to see the upper world for awhile unless she ventured out into it.

He, happy there as he held her, smiled as she told him she was happy, not just happy, but happier than she'd been in years. He felt a sense of hope and wholeness in his heart as he knew he didn't need to look back in regret, knowing that he'd made the right choice in the matter of whether to stay or go. The feeling fit so well and he just seemed to melt where he was with the warmth of the moment. He felt the feeling rise high in his chest as he inhaled the air about him, so cool against his skin there, colder than ice almost. He looked on at the portions of bare skin, enjoying them and the different tones it held in the soft light of the room, the little that came down on her from the lamps there. He drank this in as he smiled lightly and kissed her on her cheek again and kept to caressing her face with his hand, at least lightly.
He smiled to her as she tried to keep up her same cold and uncaring face, it flooded through his mind that she was conflicted with something. He wanted to ask, yet he didn’t, he knew now wasn’t a time to ask questions as he thought back to all of the adventures he’d been on to see if maybe on one of them he’d felt anything like this. He found himself to be dry of these memories, causing him to chuckle as he cut from his past then and paid attention to the present before him now, her. His heartbeat was soft and gentle as he stayed there, looking into the iced blue of her eyes, lost in their endless sea, holding, keeping his same smile for her and her alone.
As he felt her lips pressed to his neck there, he knew what she wanted, no…needed. He only waited patiently for her to ask for it…blood, the thing that all Vampire’s hungered. He didn’t feel like a tool for her want of blood though as he knew she had probably been struggling heavily with trying to push back the feeling of just tearing right into his neck and feeding. After all, in Vampires, instinct could not be shut out entirely, the feeling and need for blood always there and very real. It was a burden to them and they knew this, how it conflicted so greatly with how humans viewed them. Yet, humans could easily spare some of their precious liquid for these poor, starving creatures who now fed on wild animals in disgust, the blood sickening to many of their kind, only giving them the strength to really survive rather than gain in strength.
He listened intently then as she pulled from him and licked her lips, showing him there what he desired, nodding to her as she spoke, stopping only when she tensed, Keira had heard something or someone in the mansion nearby, he could tell. As he was about to speak, she quickly planted a kiss upon his lips, causing him to feel a slight bit weak as he slumped back, his smile plastered on his face as he felt as though he was flying there among the stars of the sky, as if he were a shooting star ready to make its journey through the stars for the first time in its life. Only until his back fell upon the bed did he realize where he was again but even then his heart was still soaring sky high among the clouds. Looking up, he saw her at the door and watched in silence as she turned to him and put her finger to her lips, remaining quiet as she commanded, nodding to her to show this.
He listened quietly as she disappeared, she moving so fast into the room on the other side of the door that he didn’t even register that she’d walked out, only just disappeared as if like magic. He knew better though, knowing full well that she was an old and powerful Vampire simply by how she’d carried herself the first time he’d met her. Younger Vampires of this age were different, not as wise with how they lived, only believing that finding humans would quench their ever hungry thirst for blood that no manner of magic or science could fully stop. It was just a natural thing of life to the Vampire to be a creature of the hunt. Yet, to know when to hunt and when to remain patient was something unknown to these Vampires, much like the one outside on the other side of the door with Kiera. However, he had a feeling he wasn’t all too young, just a little pissed off and very, very hungry for blood that he couldn’t control himself.
However, he heard Keira next, her voice cold and unforgiving to the other Vampire yet he couldn’t help but smile at this, knowing she cared for him and that she was protecting him from the Vampires of the household. It made him feel like he was worth something rather than just her meal, but as something more. He continued listening to what Keira had to say even though it was muffled by the door a little. Then he heard the Vampire he didn’t know again, saying something threatening , able to tell he’d left then from how Keira retreated back into the room to be with him, his smile spreading wide as he stood, moving to her and taking her hand as he said in response,” of course I will and yes, I understand. After all it would probably be better to find a place with more privacy to it, yes? I’m sure you’ve got just the place though,” he moving close to her, giving her a hug and then letting go, backing up as he held her hand there in that space.
He was ready for anything and anyone then, ready for her to carry him off into her world with her so that they could begin their time together with less disturbances. The feeling was so great there that it made him burst with happiness that was quite noticeable on his face. He could barely contain himself that he’d almost fainted just standing there in patients. He was to be leaving this realm he’d known so well to see the underworld, the place where only Vampires tread for all other feared their wrath in the darkness of the places beneath the city.
He thought though, at the same time as his other thoughts, of what it was that kept making him black out every so often, yet he shrugged, unable to figure it out as he stood, pondering as Keira began to take him with her through the door and into the other halls of the mansion and on to where she preferred to dwell. He knew this was going to be one adventure he’d never live twice, an adventure of epic proportions that would take him on a far journey to places he might never of seen if he hadn’t of taken her hand that single moment, it causing him to be ecstatic with joy, the thought of seeing something new being something the adventurer loved oh so very much.
However, as they went something hit him, something very sad, he asked then, “Keira? What does it feel like to know or to witness the deaths of those who aren’t so gifted in immortality pass on? I’m sorry if it hurts you any…I just wanted to know. If it’s a personal thing then please don’t answer it. I don’t want you to have to answer something that hurts you because I just couldn’t live it myself knowing I did it, the guilt would be too great…” he slightly frowning at the thought he might of done just that, a prospect that he didn’t enjoy very much so he went to asking her another question, one that was far more cheerful than the last, or so he thought.
“so, what is it like to be so powerful? I’m sure it must be a very enjoyable feeling, knowing you’re always safe from harm and that you don’t need anything to keep you safe. I just wish I was like that…” the thought making him sad, making him feel guilty for being incapable of defending himself at all. It made him feel weak and so very powerless to the perils of this world, yet he didn’t want Keira to see him sad so he quickly removed the frown from his face. However, his eyes still held the unhappiness, a place that he couldn’t remove it in a million years for one’s eyes could tell so much about a person. However, he kept silent then, continuing to walk with her to a place that he felt would be more private and far more peaceful.

Keira could have started to throw anything and everything hard, that could do any damage to the vampire approaching when she sensed him. They had not gotten along for over 400 years and this would just put his panties in a twist. She actually liked the idea of that but she was not going to share. Never would she place nice with him either. Slipping off the bed she moved to the door and motioned for Hollow to be silent. All she needed was for him to get in the way. Giether was just about the same strength level, but he was never good when someone threatened his pretty face. Having left her mark once he wasn’t up for playing again. Vanity only got you so far in life. Rolling her eyes when he walked away she turned walking back into her room.
Holding her hand out for him she waited to see if he was ready to say goodbye to this world. He was going to be walking into danger. Not only from the others but from her as well. She noticed that he smiled at her. Nodding at his words she smiled back at him. “I do have a place, very similar to this” she waved her hand in the arm. Laughing when he wrapped his arms around her once more. Leaning against him she pulled away the same time he did arching her one eyebrow. He was pushing his luck with hugs, she enjoyed them but he kept tempting her with his blood, without him even knowing. Her fingers remained curled against his hand as she led him down the hallway of the North Wing. She had known every room here, had guests and a few times stayed in a few of the rooms. The doors were shut, locked and she had the keys hidden, just so she knew if anyone was brave enough to try and steal anything of hers.
As they started down the stairwell she glanced at him when he asked his question. Thinking about the question as they moved slowly down the stairs she stopped at the bottom turning to look at him. “It is just life. Eventually you harden yourself to such emotions. In this world people, whether they are human, vampire or shifter… well many of them die, go insane or going missing…” with a shrug of her shoulders she kept them there and smirked. “You really must stop apologizing to me when you ask a question. I will not break so easily and feelings well they come and go” Keira couldn’t hold back the laughter from his next question. Shaking her head she tugged him closer to her. A finger tip lightly caressing his cheek.
“All powerful? You have much to learn my Hollow. There are many stronger than me… the thing is that none of them want to bare my wrath.” winking she chuckled and looked around. “I do hope you forgive me for this love but…” Lifting up on her toes she gave him a soft kiss before turning as if she was going to walk away, her hand loosening on his before she struck. Her free hand curled into a fist as she connected with temple. Hitting him hard enough to cause him to faint. Keira wrapped her arms around his limp form once more picking him up again. Chuckling she had the odd notion to say, We really need to stop meeting like this, the words never left her mouth but she smirked as she kicked the secret panel behind the stairs. Watching the door open up she stepped inside making sure it suck securely once more. Now was going to be the fun part.
Keeping him in her arms she moved quickly down the winding stairs. Her heels clicking off the marble as she entered the main entrance hall. Now this was what the upper mansion had looked like in its glory. There were the slightest of differences. She glanced around at the few that were in the entrance hall and smirked. Moving as if she didn’t have a care in the world. Walking up the stairs she moved to the North Wing, her wing. Blonde wavy locks bounced down her back as she made sure that her presence was known. It would help to keep those that caught the scent of the male in her arms away. Walking with a purpose for once to her room she laid him on her blood red sheets before moving back to the door. Quickly she flipped the locks. Leaning against it she smiled, crossing her arms over her chest.
Moving back to her bed she sat down stripping off the heels. Sliding up the sheets she looked at the bruise forming on his temple. Even striking him lightly he still bruised, it had been a long time she had actually touched a human in a violent way. Keira hoped that she didn’t damage him, he already seemed damaged enough. Lightly she caressed his cheek as she waited.

As he continued to walk, he stopped on the steps, she kissing him once more. But before he had the time to respond to ask her what it was for, she hit him thoroughly well in the head, his left temple to be exact, causing him to suddenly pass out from the blow. It was light and painless, merely knocking him out rather than full on causing brain damage and what not. Luckily, he wasn’t in another of his blackouts from it so he merely saw recent events and other illusions all dancing around in his mind like the children from that Christmas story. In the background of his mind though, played the sad tune of a musical box, softly going on as it rolled on without a single stop to it, playing gently as if to say that all hope was lost, smudged out from the world there.
He slowly awoke, groaning as he did and slowly coming to, saying to himself, “what the hell happened…? One second she kissed me and then the next I was out like a light,” touching his forehead, he groaned, pulling his hand away quickly at the bruise that had swelled so quickly on his left temple. His senses came back next, feeling her touch, such a nice feeling, against his skin as he opened his eyes. He found himself to still be shirtless there in the bed. He chuckled lightly as he noticed the color of the sheets, red, not just any red, crimson, like blood. He decided to comment on them, “so, are the sheets merely a fashion statement or is the dining table too? Didn’t realize you were that hungry. All you needed to do was ask,” his hand slowly moving to her other hand, laying it on top of hers.
“ah, you’re so beautiful to me,” he said gently to her, “so very wonderfully sweet and beautiful…” He sighed then and said to her with a softness in his voice, “well, I don’t want to keep you waiting…” sitting up and whispering in her ear, “…I’m yours for the taking. Just go ahead and bite me whenever you want,” laying back down then as he looked up at her, laying there amongst her soft sheets, looking up at her, waiting for her to go ahead and begin with her dire need for blood. He was certain she was going to ask him last time she had him in this same position so he would fearlessly bring it back up for her in order to give her the choice of pursuing her hunger now or later. He didn’t care which it was but he knew that something would come from it, yet he wasn’t sure if it was a good or a bad thing, her bite being the only thing to decipher this. Yet he would surely get his answer soon enough as he looked up into her wonderful blue eyes in anticipayion, waiting patiently for her time of hunger.

Keria looked down at Marc, Hollow whatever his name was. She still hadn't decided what she was going to call him. She noticed him start to wake, watching the changes in his face she smirked when he groaned. Chuckling she stayed exactly in the same position caressing his cheek. She stopped when he lifted his hand to temple. Keira had bruised him pretty good but then again he would eventually forget about the bruise when she sunk her fangs into his tender flesh. Placing her hand back on his cheek right before he opened his eyes. Smiling down at him, Keira arched an eyebrow at his chuckle. It confused her why he was chuckling at her. Was there something wrong with her room. Glancing around she looked back down at him. Shaking her head when he spoke of her sheets it was her turn to chuckle. Lightly running her fingers through his hair she replied. "Neither, I enjoy the color. As for it being a dining table no, actually. Only one other has been brave enough to come into this room in 75 years" she left it at that. Leaning forward she whispered against his ear, "I have been hungry for a long time now, a little bit longer wont hurt me" kissing his earlobe she sat up smiling as his hand moved on top of her free one.
This human touched her, softly, gently and spoke to her so sweetly. It was as if he didn't care what she was and how he had so freely followed her, trusted her she would believe that to be true. Keira smiled at the complement from him then placed a finger over his lips when he said that was sweet and beautiful. "I might be beautiful but beauty is only skin deep, never forget what I am" Her finger fell away from his lips as he sat up and whispered in her air. Smiling she turned and watched him fall back down on her bed. His eyes remained her as she pondered the idea for a few seconds. Kicking off her heels she moved up close to him, hands gripping the hem of her dress. Pulling the material up her thighs she straddled his waist and leaned forward resting her upper body against his nude one. Making herself comfortable she laid there for a little while enjoying the feel of his pulse against her skin. Closing her eyes she rested her head against his chest and just listened. It was a sound she normally heard from a distance and that was it.
Lifting her head from his chest she slid up his body trailing kisses up his chest as she did so. Stopping at his neck she let out a content sigh. Lightly she caressed the line of his jaw before tilting his head in the perfect angle that she wanted. Seeing his pulse in his neck she bit back a hungry sound and kissed his neck. Keeping her body pressed down against his she didn't want him to move unless he was going to squeeze her. Nipping his pulse she gave him one word of warning, "Ready?" It was a question and a statement because as soon as the words left her mouth she sunk her fangs deep into his neck. The first few drops of his blood was pure Ecstasy on her tongue and she moaned softly in enjoyment. Sucking as gently as she could on the wound her eyes closed as she relaxed more above him. Using her tongue to lap at the blood not wanting to waste a single drop. God it had been so long she couldn't believe at how sweet his blood was on her tongue how it filled her stomach so well.
