The wind picked up her loose hair as she walked down the empty street. She glanced around, bright eyes looking for any movement, any sign of life. Keeping to the more populated areas during the day so that at night she was less likely to run into someone who wanted to hunt her or just attempt to harm her for the fun of it. Dressed in form fitting black leather pants, knee high black leather boots and a white tank top that was covered by the long coat she had on.
It was a boring night, no one was stepping out, no one wanted to play or chance her. Many in the city knew exactly who she was, Gilles had the largest sane group of vampires left in the city. They tended to be the most fair and staying out of the dirty deeds others had fallen to. It didn't mean that they knew nothing of what was happening in their city. Keira had keep their network open into others groups ever since Gilles had left. He was back now and that meant she had more free time to herself.
Sighing she found one of the tallest buildings that was still standing. Making her way inside she quickly made her way to the roof. It was turning out to be one of her favorite places to enjoy the night. It kept her well hidden out of view from others giving her time to either jump down and interact or fight or to hide from those she didn't feel like dealing with. Keira had a feeling it would be like any other night. A few wanderers would make their way from shadow to shadow trying to keep out of the few vampire gangs that tormented the night along the main streets.
Leaning back against the main brick wall she made herself comfortable, one leg hanging over the ledge as she looked down and across the street. Her leg swung silently back and forth as she watched and waited hoping for some excitment, something new before she made her way home and to check on Hollow as she did not like to leave him alone for to long with Gilles home.

Amber and Shauna were growing tired. With each step their balance wavered and they had to each stagger, grabbing one of Ryan's arms to steady themselves. It had been a long couple of weeks. Ryan's natural distrust of strangers had caused them to avoid large groups of people, his social phobia growing even more controlling over him in the passing months. Ryan pulled the two humans close, supporting them and allowing them to find warmth within the large black fabric of his tailored coat.
"Ryan?" Shauna did not need to continue with the words rushing through her mind. Ryan knew what they needed. They all needed rest.
"Here, In here." He said quietly, not wanting their voices to travel in the air to any potential predator. Ryan was a rarity. He had fresh food, on constant supply. But, the numbers were dwindling. Other Vampires had attacked, claimed his donors until only Shauna and Amber remained. To say he was only slightly protective of them was an understatement. They progressed into a large, tall building, one of the few still intact and not condemned. He guided the two women through the building seeking out a room with as little exposure to the elements as possible. Several flights of stairs later and they were almost at the top floor when Ryan found a suitable room with nothing but an old mattress with in. Stepping inside that was when Ryan felt it. Something old, powerful.
"Ryan? What is it?" Amber asked, quietly.
"We're not alone."

Keira had heard the faint sound of footsteps coming down the one street. Two sluggish and one strong. Lifting an eyebrow she turned her head and listened, felt instead of moved. There was no use scaring away those that were moving to near to where she was. As they made their way to the buildings door, the same one she used she stopped swinging her leg and glanced down at who were entering. It was a safe building all except for her. Seeing the male with his arms wrapped around two females she smirked. New vampire with fresh blood would not be very safe for very long if any of the rouge's or gang's picked up on his scent.
Swinging her leg back over the ledge she stood up and waited, listening as the three made their way slowly up the stairs. When they finally stopped almost the top floor she began to move quietly towards the entrence to the roof. There was no door so she slipped through it and began to make her quick decent to the floor that they were on. Keira knew he had to have picked up on her especially with strong blood in his veins. At the soft spoken words of a female and the male she called Ryan caused her to smirk.
Walking down the hall to where she had heard them and felt them. The scent of the humans were stronger now she made sure her boots gave them even more warning that she was coming towards them. "You are not alone." she replied as she stepped up so they could see her in the doorway. Keira remained in the hall though just in case the vampire would try to protect what was his. "I can't tell you how long you will be safe. This city is crawling with those that would kill to have one of your pretty little humans"

Ryan allowed his eyes to move to the growing feel of power, pushing his two humans to stand behind his broad frame protectedly. As the female spoke, and he felt her power radiate more strongly toward him he tilted his head slowly to one side, never even blinking for fear of the other vampire moving to over power him. Ryan had spent too long defending what was his to trust a stranger so easily.
"Do not speak of them." Ryan said, his tone blunt and close to a growl, "We are no threat to you. If this is your building we shall leave, we are just passing through the city." Ryan decided perhaps being more diplomatic would help this situation, he was not match for the strength he felt from the other vampire and was too tired.

Keira smirked as the male vampire pushed the two females behind him. She didn't want his humans, he was more of a prize to her. A young vampire, a fledgling and yet he was surviving and protecting two humans. At his blunt words about not speaking to the human's she laughed and waved his words off. "If i wanted your precious girls I would have taken them from you already." she replied back with laughter still lacing her voice. Smirking as he continued.
"I don't own this building. No one does." her eyes met his his as she glanced behind him to look at the girls then back to him. Fresh meat in the city would definately draw the rogues out. They loved to cause issues with anyone knew passing through the city. "Passing through?" she asked before walking up to the doorway then leaned against the frame. "Doesn't Pittsburgh hold what you are looking for in a home?"

Ryan kept his stance strong, his body shielding the two women from the vampire. As the vampire spoke Ryan was in half a mind to make a run for it, but listened and decided to place a little trust in the vampire.
"No where is home any more. The wars took care of that." He said solemnly and eased his stance just a little, letting Amber and Shauna know they too could relax a little. "We are just seeking cover from the morning. A safe place. From harm." Shauna and Amber lowered their heads then, they were the last. He had once had many, now it was just those two who had shown such strength in the past few months.
"You live here, in this city then?" He boldly asked the older Vampire.

Keira kept her eyes on the male vampire before her. His stance was strong, it showed something even with him not being that old. Those that found a way to live and survive without going made deserved something now a days. Her lips curved into a wicked smirk at his words. “That is very true” she paused raising a finger tapping it off her cheek once, her smirk then turned into a smile. “Some of us have homes though” Her words held a hint of amusement though there was nothing to be amused about.
He lowered his guard, she found it interesting but still didn’t move from where she was. As he spoke about finding cover from the morning she nodded her head and watched as the two females lowered their heads. Pushing herself up from the doorframe she just stood in the doorway. “Yes I live in the city, I have taken over my masters home… the question is now are you interested in truly safe place for you and your donors?”
She tapped her fingers along the door frame looking at the male and then the two women he had with him. Studying them before her icy blue gaze fell back on him. There were very few fledgling vampires that were not crazy, this one had two donors with him, Keira wanted to get to know him better, the girls would also give Bess something more to do as well.
