Character Name: Cyrus
Age: 2824
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Power Level: Ancient
Kind: Rare Water Dragon (Father Air Dragon/Mother water Dragon)
Description:
Human skin~
Cyrus stands a lovely six foot two inches tall with long brown hair that reaches past his mid back in some places and while some of these locks appear matted due to time and movement more of them are braided or tied in places with leather to give the appearance of dreadlocks. Robust angular features rest in a rich lighter shade of brown complexion; his eyes in this form are a vibrant green and he tends to have a cleverly placed shadow around his mouth and along his jaw with inklings creeping up his cheeks. He seems to have an intense appearance to him as an overall ‘look’ as though there is nothing that one would attempt to push past him. He is a man of war, time and death it seems to live and breathe around him as though the air is thick with humidity (and it likely is.) His hair is usually worn loose although he has been known to sweep it back into a leather bind at the nape of his neck. His clothing when in human form is usually leather although he is known to favour what is referred to as islander or peasant shirt and draw string slacks. Though he can trade it out for other things he tends to sooner go bare foot rather than have a pair of shoes to worry about.
Hybrid form~
Unlike most dragons his hybrid form is more draconic than most much like that of a Komodo dragon but far larger reaching over twenty-five feet in length, in this form he is able to latch on, grab and tear into and through things, his colour is navy blue almost entirely and nearly entirely covered in barbed spines looking much like a short quill porcupine. When the barbed Spines lay flat he looks sleek and shiney almost as though he is built for speed, very difficult to hold onto and cuts through water like a dream. He is shorter than his dragon form but bulkier and does not have wings. Though it is a meld of the dragon and the man he is far more dragon then he would like. In this form he can fight and uses his long tail as a lashing whip that takes up most of his length near twelve feet. He holds razor sharp claws that tear into the hull of ships causing them to sink. This form though it can be done is not usually used.
Dragon form~
A magnificent beast of remarkable colour many shades of blue a wash of purple here and there and even black coats him from head to tail. Under the water he is a picture of... well danger. A number of poisonous barbed spines extrude from his head some measuring three feet and others six in length; decorated and more so seen as being each a pose-able or moveable fins like that of a lion fish’s barbs. They are decorated in bands of white black and blue. However these are not the only fins upon his head or neck region as there are two that mirror one another seeming more like ears where as the long spines act and react more like hair. These duo fans or fins at their greatest peak measure two and a half feet and comprise of spines and a lovely coating of skin in a pattern comprising of ovals and bands in white and blue. The upper side of the dragon hide from head to tail is covered in small heart shaped scales that are evilly smooth one way and devilishly rough the other acting like sandpaper to skin; that take the colours of light purple and navy blue in a tiger stripped pattern. The underside of this beast is a deep purple and stands out much like plated armour and is relatively boring compared to the rest of him. This Dragon holds four limbs with webbing between each digit on it’s foot and hand, each of these fingers and toes are fully pose-able. He can more than grasp with his powerful hind legs while his feet when used for swimming act like a divers flippers with eight inch long black talons capping the end of each finger or toe. Unlike most Water dragons he has ‘wings’ that match and are a melding of the spines and fins upon his head and neck. These wings are not made for flying but he can glide pretty damn well. These fins begin at his wrist and continue along in a number of poisonous spines and barbs down the entire length of his arm onto his shoulder and then to the fully present wings. Within these wings are spines that can pose like hands and appear to be long spindly fingers if the membrane has been torn curved barbs and talons project from the ragged ends. At the very end of his long tail is that of a scooped fin that is when looked at laying flat a tear drop and much like his wings are a meld in design of the other fins upon his head and neck poisonous barbs included. Upon either side of his neck are gill flaps that can lock shut when surfaced and when closed are very difficult to find. Onto his head the general shape of his head would be that of a heart, think rattlesnake mixed with Jurassic Park’s frilled dinosaur, that spat venom; with an unhinge-able jaw and curved rows of teeth that hold a core of ivory in varying size and shape though there is a clear cap over each one making them an inch or two longer than they appear. Hs has nostrils that are hidden when under water the same way that his gills are above. Like most water dragons he has two lids; a nictitating membrane for his solid green eyes to allow vision to continue and another that close in the reverse of that when he is a man to protect his eyes from damage. Over his green eyes the poisonous barbs begin and continue down half the length of his neck. His nose to shoulder measures ten feet, shoulder to base of tail measures seventeen feet, base of tail to where fin begins is twenty seven feet and capping that length off is a fin of near the same length; reaching twenty one feet. The gliding wingspan stretches thirty feet this does not include the ten feet of pose-able ragged tails or clear membranes that end them.
Personality:
He is friendly, adaptable and basically action-oriented though this was not always so and usually hidden well behind the knowledgeable façade. A go-doer who is very focused on immediate results when it comes to the constant details, however there is time when he has the patience to wait and watch and that comes in when building and constructing.
Living in the here-and-now, he is a risk-taker and tends to live a fast-paced lifestyle fast enough for his liking and this comes more into play after he looses Jordana. This loss in the modern time has caused him to become impatient with long explanations where as he used to cover this in the past and was the reverse in the time when the world needed a man like him and that was Socrates, don’t expect the long winded speeches. One can expect him to say random quotes that have been placed in books thanks to the published works of Xenophon.
He is extremely loyal to his peers, those being the dragons, but not usually respectful of laws and rules of man if they get in the way of getting things done. Other than that he has great people skills and will have you looking in one way while he removes your watch with his other hand. He often tends to seek out the company of others being very comfortable when meeting new people. He doesn’t care much for vampires but seeks to resolve disputes in a more friendly matter if not he would gladly eat them. They are just well preserved meat.
A natural teacher he has taught millions of humans, shifters and half breeds how to live and live well. Hundreds of dragons what they were how to control their change and fight in their much more powerful form and one or two vampires that they is no better than chicken. There is a part of him that said that Jordana was the last he would let into his heart in that way.
History:
His parents met many, many centuries prior to his hatching. As the stories go he; Sargon was flying over a great lake, in the middle of the desert and he saw her laying upon a rock alone. It was not a common rock it was made of gold. When he flew lower to investigate the strange woman on the golden bed she transformed into a beautifully coloured dragon, brilliant blue and silver a contrast to his crimson and gold. A partial fight and it all changed in an instant. But that is just a story; Sargon needed to prove to his queen that he loved her and so a great empire was built. Their love became something of stories told in many languages and many different ways.
He was hatched just like his brothers yet he was chosen for his strength and intelligence. He was the Crown Prince. Upon his hatching he was given the name Sennacherib and was the reigning regent over the Assyrian Empire while his father Sargon II was on a campaign. Unlike his father Sennacherib was not hungry for war and so during his time as ‘king’ was relatively peaceful. He was better known for his architectural renovations, constructions, and expansions. While he was seeing about these renovations to the empire’s cities his father fell to a very violent death. His head was shipped to Sennacherib with the demand that he surrender his Kingdom and his people to slavery. This was the first time that his ability as a ruler was tested he was sixteen. Many uprisings came at this time including those of his brothers who wished to rule and segregate the empire causing much turmoil within the city itself. Between the triplets, brothers from one hatching, one clutch. The Assyrian Empire was faced with smaller tribes smaller kingdoms on their boarders wanting land and a piece of the great Pie that was the empire. Now with the Warring King dead why not, his son would be easy pickings as he was only in his teens. His brothers however received word of what the outer cities were planning and came together unifying their gathered force. Upon speaking with Sennacherib they came to realize just why Sargon chose him. The youngest of them and the last to hatch was the one that was nurtured and loved by his mother far too greatly taught the ways of a King both indoors and beyond the great walls. Taught what he was before his brothers knew for certain.
Unable to remain where his father’s head was in Dur-Sharrukin he moved the capitol and most of the common folk to the better protected City of Nineveh. Leaving the Palace of Dur-Sharrukin as a tomb for both his father and his mother whom killed herself after Sargon’s head was returned to his capitol. Sennacherib gave his word to his mother that nothing would be written officially about either one of them although he did make many, many cylinders and buried them in the foundations of both Nineveh and Dur-Sharrukin. They are yet to be found as extractions of these cities would be very difficult. The Assyrian Empire was dealing with an uprising of an enemy empire Babylonia it was the first time that Sennacherib would go to war, in 703 BC at the tender age of twenty one he struck out against Marduk-apla-iddina II and his gathered forces of Chaldeans, Aramaeans and Elamites. They wanted to ensure that the Unrest would rise and continue at the accession of Sennacherib as he came into age and was truly crowned King of Assyria and so sent ambassadors to Hezekiah of Judah. Sennacherib made the once Capitol of Dur-Sharrukin a city for the gathered Military force and visited once it came to pass that they would be needed. His brothers were the best generals and they were also there waiting for word on what Sennacherib would say. He did something that none would think of doing though the mass that were gathered were separated and lead by his brothers. One sent to Kish where an army was stationed the other sent to capture Cutha.
Unable to maintain peace in outer laying provinces Sennacherib and his brothers were able to overrun Great Sidon, Little Sidon, Bit-Zitti, Zaribtu, Mahalliba, Ushu, Akzib and Akko. After such was acomplished they installed a puppet leader they called Ethbaal. The dragons turned their attention and their massive army onto Beth-Dagon, Joppa, Banai-Barqa and Azjuru these cities were ruled by Sidqia but fell to Sennacherib. Egypt and Nubia rushed to the aid of the stricken cities and single handedly Sennacherib captured the Egyptian and Nubian charioteers while his army overwhelmed the Egyption forces. As they marched the Assyrian Military captured and Sacked Several other cities holding rebelion forces including Lachish which was much like the tales of Troy well fortified the second of such cities in the land of Jeruslem. He punished the criminals of the cities and left the common citizens to their daily lives reinstalling Padi their leader who had been held hostage in Jeruslem. His army however converged on Hezekia of Judah to squash that of the rebellion there in 701 BC.
However there are many varying reports onto what exactly happened though it is said that he left a great number of his army there, it is also reported that he lost the men to a sweeping illness. In actual fact Sennacherib more than squashed Hezekia’s army, Hezekia locked himself in his palace and bribed Sennacherib to spare his life by giving to him gold and silver along with women and a harem. His city was spared and he was a territorial King by all accounts a young but powerful earth dragon in his own right. However after that was done Sennacherib returned to Kish with half of the force that had taken Cutha and much of his own easily leaving his brother and half of his army there to stomp any rebellion and uprising.
The rebellion of Marduk-apla-iddina II was crushed and he fled. Babylon was taken and the palace was turned upside down for Marduk-apla-iddina II claimed to have the body of Sargon. The people of Babylon were left unharmed. Many sweeps of the Assyrian military and those of Babylon searched through the city and the rebellion forces there were wiped out. Sennacherib knew one man that he thought he could trust to lead the army of Babylon, one man he was certain would be able to govern those of the city and he was sent for while the search for Marduk-apla-iddina II continued into the marshes but they could not find him. Bel-ibni was placed on the throne of Babylon and three years later the Assyrians returned to Babylon to squash the second attempt of Marduk-apla-iddina II whom fled again but was fatally wounded by Sennacherib who hunted him and followed him down the river for more miles than possible hoping that he died at the steps of Elam talking about a river monster with a ragged mane and poisonous fangs that were far longer than they appeared to be. Fangs that tore into him and threw him for miles along the waters.
The failings of Humanity were only realized as Bel-ibni years later proved to be a traitor and was taken back to Assyria. Sennacherib then had a young son with a human woman to whom he had fallen in love with but knew the greatness of her mortality and his immortality. His brother Ashur-nadin-shumi was then given the throne of Babylon although it did not entirely help as it only lead to another campaign six years later in 694 BC, with both his brother’s army of Babylon and his of Assyria they destroyed the Elamite base that was on the shores of the Persian Gulf. While they were away from Babylon the rest of the Elamites invaded north Babylonia, his brother whose wife was nesting was captured and taken to Elam and the throne taken by Nergal-Ushezib. Now Sennacherib had to fight his way back north and he did capturing and conquering many cities that had joined with the ‘rebellion’ via force freeing the citizens from the reigns of their blood thirsty oppressors. For one year the Assyrians marched and fought carving a bloody path as they went; cutting down those that called themselves King leaving their head on pikes and their bodies crucified at the city limits marking them a traitor to their own.
A large battle was fought at Nippur against Nergal-Ushezib though he was captured and his army squashed cut down like flies in a kitchen. He was taken to Nineveh and the bodies of the men that stood against the Assyrian army were treated the same way as the ‘kings’ of the outer laying cities. A wall of headless crucified bodies surrounded the city of Babylon, their heads on Pikes before them with gaping jaws, some of them displaying the fangs of the unnatural. Nergal-Ushezib was tortured by Sennacherib’s other brother with quills and poisoned barbs; dragged under water into the previously unused aqueducts and left there to endure the torture of the release of water flow through the many twists and turns and iron grates that were sharp enough for the purpose of torture and subsequent death. For the loss of their brother, they embarked on another campaign and entered Elam where their armies plundered the cities. The Elamite King fled into the mountains and the dragons were forced to return home for the chill of the coming winter threatened to end their own.
In that time another Rebellion leader Mushezib-Marduk claimed the throne of Babylon and was supported by half the army of Elam. The last great battle there was fought in 691 BC, however with the wariness of their army the Dragons pulled back to their own city leaving Mushezib-Marduk in charge of Babylon though this only lasted two years as Sennacherib had a plan and that plan included the termination of the aqueduct that the dragons built to supply Babylon with water under their rule, the dragons tore it asunder. Unable to feed his army the Assyrians attacked again besieging Babylon once more causing Mushezib-Marduk and what was left of his army to abandon the city. The city fell in 689 BC and was left unoccupied for several years.
The Dragon known as Sennacherib then returned to his city of Nineveh by the time his sons were teens and thought their father a mortal that Senna took on as a double for his own safety. As the most powerful man the world would ever know at the time he had been the target for a numer of assassination attempts. With that Sennacherib saw an opportunity to leave and leave he did taking to wandering the water ways and exploring the known world. His youngest son was named crowned prince though he was quickly exiled by Senna’s actual stand in and his older brothers. He ran though sucame to injuries that the two inflicted. Sennacherib found his son and he gathered a force and returned to his city under the name Esarhaddon.
He defeated his own sons in a civil war that lasted six weeks and was declared King in the spring. As written his brothers fled the land while the army of Assyria put to death their followers and families. In the same year he began rebuilding Babylon, a new project. Unfortunately Marduk-apla-iddina II returned under a new name; in 679 BC he and his army would face him again. Now he lead the army of Cimmerian though they like all the armies before were beaten back and all forms of rebellion yet again were squished. Again the Sidonian king rose up against him and was defeated and beheaded the town destroyed and rebuilt in a mass harbour. Esarhaddon maintained a treaty with Tyre, Judah, Edom, Moab, Gaza, Ashkelon, Ekron, Bylos, Arvad, Samai-muruna, Ammon and Ashdod. War was the only time there was peace for his people and his land; this was a hard lesson learned and again he found a man to be his stand in and left him the armies and the kingdom while he watched from the shadows. There were more wars, short battles where many more cities and rulers fell under the hands of the Assyrian armies.
He watched for a number of years while Babylon was being rebuilt to it’s full glory. In this time his brother was killed and he along with a massive army raised his own city to the ground. He later called himself Nebuchadnezzar and was named Heir to Babylon. He was sent into battle and drove Egypt back yet again; Battle of Carchemish. Shortly after Syria and Phoenicia were brought under the control of Babylon; he set his eyes westwards. Marrying Amuhia ensured a strong alliance between the two largest empires in the land. Finally fed up and completely annoyed by Judah and Jerusalem he conquered them both ten years later he would destroy the city and temples sending the Jews into exile. There was a thirteen year siege of Tyre who gave into the Babylonian authority when he turned to Egypt once more as they were threatening to push again. But now he had a number of dragons behind him including Hezekia who could more than control the sands.
Nineveh was raided a number of times and the riches either stowed some where or brought to Babylon. He continued his original work of restoration bringing water to the deserts and turning his city into something remarkable. Tiered gardens or hanging gardens were ‘made’ for his queen whom was very ill and missing her home. His construction did not end with the city he had accomplished a number of other building feats for his time under the name of Nebuchadnezzar. He would surpass his own building under the name of Sennacherib.
He then left Babylon to his son who ruled for two years and two alone, he was then killed and Neriglissar succeeded him under the watchful eye of the Dragons that were there and now almost worshiped as gods themselves. He wandered around following the waters and looking over the olden kingdoms that were once under his hand though reclaimed some form of independence when he ‘died.’ He was a warrior, a king, a prince and a man of many, many words, worlds and names including Cyrus the Great where history repeated itself and the last name in history he bore was Socrates where he learned to talk, listen and be a paradox to the natural order of the world he was in and the laws of man. The same Socrates that taught the young Dragon Xenophon.
The time as Socrates was one of his more enjoyable times as he often down played himself and made fun of those that thought themselves wise all while making comments that could be misconstrued easily. But he did know how to play on words and the irrational mind of the mortals that often came to hear him speak. Xenophon was not like the others even from a young man whom stumbled upon the older when he was teaching. In fact part of Socrates knew that there was something more to Xenophon than met the common eye. It was when Xenophon transformed in battle that Socrates knew and there in made himself known, teaching the young dragon what he could. Another of his students; his apprentice became envious of the time that was being placed on another who was not seen as being fit for such tutelage especially when Plato was left on his own in Helike (the very city that may have inspired Plato to write a story of an imagined city that he called Atlantis; as there is no real historical evidence to support Plato’s claims.) While Xenophon was taken to key points of interest in Helike as a valued guest of Socrates; Plato could not enter unless he was with Socrates. ‘It was not worth the older man’s time to teach a man of war.’ On more than one occasion Socrates was brought before the senate for a ‘reason’ and each time when they threatened to kill him he would reply with ‘I have no fear of dying for my own reason or falsehoods of your part.’ And on more than one occasion he was set free. His apprentice could not rise out of his shadow with the older apparently wiser man still alive and so he began to plot to himself if the senate would not do the deed for him then he would have to himself.
Socrates was given a gift of wine and bread one morning and while he was teaching he collapsed. After his ‘death’ or arbitrated suicide at the hands of a student of his, he often rolls his eyes when another mentions the Plato’s name. It was after his ‘Death’ as Socrates that he took up residence in Helike and refused Plato entry when he wished to return as Socrates’ heir because apparently Socrates was either a man of great importance or treated better than most Kings. Plato would send ‘tribute’ to the ruler of Helike hoping to one day gain entrance while he told great fables of his ventures into the City of Atlantis. More often times than not his tribute were pottery disks, vases, statues of the murderous mortal that found their way into his sights were used as flying disks that met a cliff face near Athens or target practice to a particular area as most often his statues depicted him a young man in the nude not that they exist anymore too many quills turned them to rubble. ‘He didn’t have the balls in life he shouldn’t have them immortalized either.’ After ‘he’ learned that someone was defacing this young image he had artisans change the statues to match his age, though that made little difference to Socrates. But because of his ‘death’ the murderer realized that he had no ‘voice’ of his own none that people would listen to anyway and so embarked on using Socrates’ name to promote his own teachings, his own ways. ‘No writing of Plato exists or ever will exist, but those now said to be his are those of a Socrates become beautiful and new.’
The Dragons of Helike sent the humans of their city away to save them; (the survivors that told the tale of the city of Helike,) finally tired off the mounds of broken clay and stone they decided that it was best to have their city under the water where they wouldn’t be sullied by human hands and so with the help of allied earth dragons a massive earthquake and the waters of the Atlantic swallowed their great city; and so birthed the tale of Atlantis. Not that any in those days took Plato’s tale or him too seriously as he seemed to fantasize, embellish and stretch truths into falsehoods even in his writings of Socrates’ teachings.
The Dragon who called himself Socrates watched collected and compiled much gold in this time, stealing it from Plato and his apprentice; storing it in an underwater cavern. Plato was smart but not wise... he kept to populated areas and kept the senate happy which in turn kept him relatively safe although somewhere along the line he heard whispered tales of Plato being killed, dying or being eaten by Xenophon and all he could say about that was ‘About time.’ But it was in this that he was painted a new, he was turned back into the man he should have been written as and this brought pride to his heart, pride in the young dragon; Xenophon was destined for greatness. And while he would have wanted to follow Xenophon he decided not to for he did not know if that would alter the future path of the great man. This did not mean that he would not follow the stories that were sure to be told of the other. After his stint as Socrates he became one of the Sea monsters of Legend and was a reason why most ships stuck to the coastlines. Gathering many younger water dragons to himself he formed a ‘family’ that often played off the coast of the United States of America and found the ideal ‘hunting ground’ to stay... the Bermuda Triangle.
The dragons kept hoards of gold in an underground cavern and collected anything they liked really trains, planes, boats, ships, literally anything was up for grabs once it looked shiny and passed into their territory the owner should kiss it good bye. One of Cyrus’ greatest treasures was that of the sleek black and red train that he nabbed even before it left the station. Over time and the wars the monster hunts, the large ships with propellers and the depletion of food; the dragons slowly fell in numbers or many moved from their cubby holes in the Bermuda Triangle. It was the turn of the twentieth century and now Cyrus took the name he bore that was given the add on of ‘The Great’ and even took a last name that meant ‘Great’ or ‘The Great.’ It was in this time between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries that he put his skills to good use becoming several things for a period of time never remaining in one place for too long.
In 2022 when he was a Medical Technician he stumbled upon a manor or what once was a manor, it smelled of death it smelled of human and dragon, what he found among the rubble and bones of another dragon was that of a clutch of eggs. Only one surviving, the others broken by rubble. He took the egg as his own and hatched it raising the girl in a time of secret war. As war changed so did the way that Cyrus did things though no matter who came to him he would help them. Jordana was his little girl and since she was a dragon of the water that made things easier for him. He would train her and protect her at all costs. Teaching her to find humour in many things many ways though he knew that she was young he became attached to her. He told her that he had found her but that she was his daughter no matter what. He often found books from an old Library that had been abandoned and brought them for her to learn from. Books that he thought would matter to the girl, books on history and fantasy works. There was one that he found by accident and on the back page as it was the only one that was blank ‘Happy Endings are the illusions of man, do not expect them to come to you, Jordana. You have the power to dream them and to make them come true.’ It was a gift he wanted to give her when she matured when she became realized and that was sooner than he thought. Late bloomers often bloomed fully, early ones progressed or those like him just looked like a dragon no matter what he did. Vampires fell upon them one night, he protected her then told her to run and even pushed her, she was the last of her family and he did not know them by scent he was sure he would know them if he saw her fully realized dragon.
He could not let her fall into their hands; the vampires they seemed to want his head... Cyrus distracted them well enough changing into his half form. What they thought was a pair of young dragons was not entirely a pair. Cyrus knew that Jordana would head one way the exit route and so he headed the opposite direction of course his retreat meant he was young and foolish... what they got was an interesting surprise from a toothy demon that dragged them down into the depths or tore them apart, though not easily. He had to retreat to his Lair and when he returned to find her she was gone. He followed what was left of her scent but found it difficult to do so... he has been wandering since helping small humanoid colonies find alternate energy assisting them in the cultivation of food leading hunting parties and corralling live stock teaching them how to maintain and ration such things before moving on. Heading further and further north; hearing of a Dragon King calling himself Xenophon. Curiosity began to get the better of him and he has decided to march into this Dragons territory knowing that if this is the dragon he knew long ago he would find no fault in it and commend him. However if this Dragon proves to be false then he would quickly rid the world of such a liar.

Powers:
Natural:
Quick change from Human to Dragon or Hybrid
Cosmetic changes (Dragon)- nails to claws, teeth to his breed of fangs, locks of hair to barbed spines and quills.
Cosmetic changes (Human)- The ability to age his features making him an old man well into his nineties or a youngish man in his thirties and anywhere in between.
Hybrid: Speed, Agility, Bite and ‘Whiplash’ - On land in his hybrid form he is a thing from nightmares of any species. Fast, deadly and poisonous if there were more of him they would be at the top of the food chain. Perhaps that is why there are so few and they are only now again at the top; they being dragon. If one survives an encounter but leaves with his bite; to the living would mean severe infections and death to those that do not gain medical assistance and disabling to the undead... causing their already ‘preserved’ bodies to begin to rot. (He eats Carrion though is known to hunt for his food he doesn’t mind biting and following his prey until they become such.) His Long thick tail is used as a large whip if needed or a rudder and propelling force when swimming. He cannot stop suddenly nor go into reverse in his hybrid form when swimming but he can suddenly change direction to a point of a one eighty switch.
Dragon: For a dragon of his mass he can propel himself through the water at frightening speeds. So much so that he could and has thrust himself from the water to capture an airplane from the sky. He can breath on land and in water.
Dragon’s ‘Breath’ – Not so much a breath but he ‘spits’ type of Batrachotoxin a highly volatile concentrated ‘poison’ that if diluted with water could be a very good substitute for morphine, or other pain reducing/numbing drugs all depends on the dilution; ratio of water to ‘toxin.’ This is the same toxin that coats his teeth and comes from a pair of vents upon either side of his lower jaw his tongue usually transfers the poison to his teeth or his mouth fills with it once it is clamped over the body of another ensuring a full dose.
-Control of water/air-
Orb of Life- the creation of a moveable durable air bubble under the water into which humanoids can be placed so that they can breath while he hides them this bubble is usually covered by his wing to keep it down and hidden from those above the water.
Water Manipulation- he can create, control, and draw pure water from most sources. Separating the toxic influences of the modern bio-warfare from natural bodies of water. Water can be used as a weapon or as a greater purpose and he knows how to use it for both creation and destruction. It is rumoured that it was water dragons that caused great places to disappear under water. Wither they sank or were in a natural sunken valley, they disappeared; two such places are written in history as Helike and the biblical ‘Eden’ other places that were destroyed or claimed by the waters many times only to be rebuilt would be Alexandria of Egypt and Ruins of Cyprus. Now while Cyrus cannot make biblical tidal waves alone he can cause turmoil upon the sea causing rip tides, tremendous waves and hurricane type conditions.

“My master sends this gift to your Boy King.” The man swept the long tapestry that already held the story of a man slaying a dragon. It revealed the large head of his father; the spiral horns broken and damaged from blunt force. Sennacherib’s eyes lifted from the table he was at as another man entered through the grand doors.
“Tell your King...” His hair flared with the spines and he pulled one free walking up to the man “There be Dragons...” the quill was forced into the man’s hand to his wrist and then into his forearm leaving only it’s end visible. “If your King wants war we will give it to him.”
The other man rushed to his messenger’s side “You are just a boy he will kill you.”
“Let him try.” Sennacherib then drew to the dragon’s head. “Now leave while you still have your limbs to walk. We are in Morning and should your King strike in this time; We will call to arms the likes of the thousand ‘Hands’ of Assyria.”
The man hissed and lunged at Sennacherib morphing into another; a dragon. A dragon that failed and was killed by Sennacherib Centuries later.
He woke with a start. It was just a dream.
Rising from the bed he pulled on a robe over his simple cotton clothing and tied it. His feet were bare as he walked through the house and smiled when he came upon Jordana sitting up by the fireplace reading. She was so young so new yet not, her parents were long gone. “Couldn’t sleep hmmm?” he came behind her and gently rubbed her shoulders he glanced through the words that had been written he saw mentions of his older name. “It is ok neither could I. Reading about what was written. I was there... and that... man was more of a monster than we were thought to be.” Gently he took the book from her. “Plato honestly thought that women were lesser beings. That they were colder than men, and not entirely human. A lot of men soon took to his way of thinking wither they knew it or not and women became oppressed in many ways.”
He swept his hair over his shoulder and twisted it “He was not entirely a nice man and in all honesty should have become a poet for his fantasy additions and embellishments to my teachings.” Turning the page he came on something that mentioned Xenophon. “Ah now this was a man, he was wise, he was a real man, always willing to help, always... well a man. I taught him just like I am teaching you now. Did you know he was the first man that whispered to horses... got them to do what he wanted them to without beating them. He was very good at that. Although whenever I saw them hooved things I thought of dinner.”
Moving over to the bookshelf he collected a package from it and walked back to her. “I found this for you.”
