Six hundred years ago, a group of humans fleeing a far off kingdom came upon the land, and found it largely unsettled by other humans. They met the fellow creatures, elves, dragons, and others, and made alliances with them. The kingdom of Mkaine was born, and all the races lived in peace, trading, living in the same towns, and sometimes interbreeding.
Now, in the present, Mkane has begun making itself a place in the world. For the past few years, they've been carving themselves a place on the maps, trading and making alliances with other nations. Unfortunately, they've been making themselves known to unfriendly nations. Who knows what will happen with invasions, assassinations, and the arrival of the slave trade? Slowly Mkaine is becoming a less happier, and more dangerous place to live.
