It began in 1957. The year the first man opened his palm and fire danced over his fingertips. The first mutant appeared in a small town in Massachusetts.
Then, in 1976, in California, the first mutant child was born. It was innocuous, yes, but shook the world: a baby, lifting her pacifier from the floor back to her lips.
At first “separate but equal,” eventually mutants were assured their rights-- but, of course, not everyone was happy. Humanity First, a staunch anti-mutant group, gained both national prominence and large political backing. Equality First rose up in defiance, fighting for the continued rights of the mutants.
Feeling Equality First was not adequately representing mutants, the militant pro-mutant movement was born, determined to bring about change. Their entrance into the public consciousness occurred with the disruption of Millennium Celebration in New York, in which they destroyed one of the sections of the Tribourough Bridges. They rose under the banner of Blue & Gold, a nod to the tragedy that brought them forefront in the fight for mutant rights.
The fight continues, laws have been passed. More violence and tragedy has occurred on all sides.
Humanity First vows they will not stop until humans are the only accepted species for citizenship. Blue & Gold has announced they will stop at nothing to ensure the rights of mutants, if not prove their superiority outright. Equality First is fighting for the middle ground.
Which will you join? Who will you back?
It is your time.
