Lindsay walked along the river. Disgusted with the filth that dwelled within it. Sitting on the damp ground, Lindsay brushed her bangs out of her face with a sigh. She brought a blanket just in case. It was a nice night. Perfectly clear, no clouds in sight, and the moon shining bright. She unfolded the blanket as gently as she could. She laid it down and laid on top of it. She enjoyed sitting out in the dark. The day was way too bright. The night brought more danger, but she wasn't worried.
Sighing again she started to sing to herself.
I've tried so hard to tell myself that your gone. But though your still with me....I've been alone all along
Pausing she sighed. She thought about things that have been happening. Which the idea ran out fast since all she's been doing is lurking in the night all alone and no one to accompany her. She started to sing again
When you cried I, wiped away all of your tears. When you scream I fight away all of your fears. And I held your hand through all of these years. But you still have.....all of me.
Lindsay sat up and picked up a stick that was sitting right next to her. She started to scrap off part of it with one of her claws. They came in handy. Especially when she was bored.

It wasn't very often that Ciannait traveled down to the point but tonight she just needed something new. Anything different would do really. The slight change in scenery, well the perspective at least, was a nice repreve in a way from daily life. If you could call the thilth that surrounded her now nice. Looking around at the slums of what once used to be a beautiful area Ciannait thought back to the thrill the city got when the fountain got dyed for superbowls and breast cancer awareness. She glanced down at the ground and kicked a small rock by her feet only to watch it skip along the remainder of a sidewalk, patches of mud, and some sort of green goop she could only hope was some form of algae.
Cringing as a peculiar smell assulted her nose, she moved on and away from the stench and toward the river's edge. As she aproched the crest of the hill leading down toward the waters edge, she could see something streched out on the ground thirty yards away. Weary of the unknown and still stiff from her last battle, Ciannait sliped behind the trunk of an overgrown tree. Peaking out from behind she could head singing, it was a female. Not bothering to try to smell if the female was human or not due to the wretched malodor, Ciannait began to slowly move from the safety of the tree to a shaded area with bushes that was few yards closer.
As she stepped into the cover of the large shrubs her foot landed in some of the green goop. Sighing and reinning in the urge to convulse Ciannait lifted her foot. That was when she discovered that the goop was elastic. It suck to the sole of her shoe like the distant long lost, much more disgusting, most likely toxic cousin of JB weld. Oh, what the hell had she gotten herself into now. Picking up a stick that had fallen from a nearby tree and started to pry the crap from her shoe. Well she had wanted different... didn't she.

Lindsay had a strange look on her face. She felt as if she was being watched. Biting her lip she stood up slowly and brushed herself off quietly. She wanted to get to the bottom of this. Silently and swiftly she moved over around trees and shrubs to see what was going on. She had checked all but one. She walked over to see a girl scrapping crud off of her boots. "Need a little help?" She asked the stranger. Looking her over, she looked like. Swishing her tail behind her she said "And you are?" Being prissy about it she shoved her tail away enough so the girl hopefully couldn't see it.
Lindsay turned around and walked back to the river. She right away turned back around back the way to the girl. "God it smells too bad over there, can't stand it." She watched the girl and studied her. She seemed very interesting to her.
Sighing and slightly amused Lindsay said "So what are you doing out here?" Just some small talk to try and make a new friend. Usually the person would say "Go away." Or "I don't know just feel like it." Or something that would make her feel like there is no centimental value to her. But oh well, couldn't hurt to try.

Just as she was about to get the last bit of goop of her shoe, the female apeared from the other side of the bushes. Shaking her head with slight embarassment in answer to the first question asked of her. So much for stealth, Ciannait thought as she went to stand up. Without having to risk the air, if thats what it chemically can be catergorized as, Ciannait was able to determine that the girl was not human. Since she was definately not vampire, she assumed that the female had to be a shifter.
Guessing this was going to be a game of twenty questions she gave a simple reply and tried to push her irritation aside. After all, it was her own fault she stepped in... whatever that was... not the girl's. "I'm Ciannait."
Watching as the girl walked back toward the shore only to turn around and complain about the odor. As the girl reapproached she moved onto her third question. "I needed to get away for a while and at the time, this place seemed as good as any." Taking a look around she added. "I guess that was my first mistake." Shrugging, Ciannait spared the girl a lopsided smile before asking a question of her own. "What about you?" Although she generally didnt start conversations like this with strangers, it was one more thing to make the evening different.
