Nobody saw it coming. Ten years after the supposed fall of Umbrella and the silencing of Raccoon city we had lost the battle. There would be no escape this time, the Genesis was upon us... After the fall of Umbrella due to lack of public support, the corporate company was forced to scrap it's projects and take to other occupations. We considered the world far more safe now that the biggest player in bioweapons had turned in the towel. Shortly after Umbrella's fall a pharmaceutical company named Tricell emerged in its place. With Umbrella no longer in the way they could afford to take over the companies research in bioweaponry and prevention efforts. After an outbreak in a small scale town the world turned to Tricell to provide them with support and thus the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance, or B.S.A.A, was born. But we were wrong about Tricell being our protectors. When the real crisis came, the B.S.A.A could do nothing. At the head of Tricell was the very captain that had betrayed the S.T.A.R.S. team ten years ago; Albert Wesker. When the infection broke out it New York city the B.S.A.A was deployed. But their fight was short, and brutal; they had been set up by their company and they crumbled like paper dolls amid flames. The cities only defense had been destroyed. Without the efforts of first responders, the city was soon set ablaze, but it could not keep the infection at bay. It spread, infecting everything it touched, until the damage on the world was left unknown. The worst part of all was that we could do nothing about it. We watched through pained eyes as our world was torn apart around us, only the cinders of what we had worked so hard to protect remained among the ashes. And from those ashes the S.T.A.R.S. arose. With less than ten individuals left of the former B.S.A.A team, we founded the former Special Tactics and Rescue Squad in our image to work alongside those who wished to remain with the all but defeated B.S.A.A. We had lost the battle but the war had just begun. With the promise of survivors, we headed out to scrounge in the nearby cities and set up a base in a small rural town resembling Raccoon city. Soon, our ranks grew to impossible heights after we routed survivors and S.T.A.R.S. became the only fully- functioning organization in the destroyed world. Our goal was simple; salvage what little left we could. To give in means death; to accept the world that Wesker and the former Tricell had made for us to die in. If we died, it would be fighting. S.T.A.R.S. would fight until the end. To find the cure, to find the hope. We would reject Wesker's Genesis, and sent it right back to him in the form of a bullet. We are the only hope.
