She walked light on her feet through the woods, the ground was soft but not muddy from the previous ran. The trees drank the water down so quickly it made walking in her barefeet even more enjoyable. Long brown locks fell almost pin straight down her back and over her shoulders. Ducking under a low branch she glanced over her shoulder a few times making sure that no one was following her. It was mid morning, the sun was high in the sky so the only ones she was worried about would be others of her clan following her. They loved to treat her as if she were a little girl. It made sense since she was one of the youngest and liked to wander off but Valdis knew how to fight and take care of herself. Smiling when she knew that no one was behind her she moved quickly through the forest. The different layers of her skirt moving around her legs as the small top clung to her upper body.
Valdis didn't slow her pace until she came to a familiar tree. It was one she had climbed and hid in many times as a child. It showed the sky and it was her marker for the leone's lands and the lands that the dragons owned. Her fingers caressed the bark of the tree as her body pressed against it. Looking out from behind it she didn't see anything, hear anything or sense anything out of the ordinary. Her father and brother didn't like to tell her that the dragon lands were probably the safest around but she had over heard them being sneaky. They had always managed to stop her before she went exploring the beautiful, well kept land. Biting her bottom lip she spun around the tree and moved quietly once more through the woods. Her heartbeat excitedly as she all but danced around. Slowling her pace when the trees began to thin out she smiled and clasped her hands together as she stared at a path.
Excitedly she moved out of the treeline and walked the path. The material of her skirt hung low on her hips now as she walked. It was so peaceful, beautiful here. Valdis knew she was acting like a young child in her head but if one could not be excited about something anymore then they normally were grumpy and foul. Lost that will to see things better. She tried to see the best out of life and often was accused of daydreaming. Today she wasn't daydreaming she was doing.

The Dragon King and Queen of Pennsylvania often walked their Hunting Grounds. It allowed them to mark their personal territory, but also allowed them to check in on their Squatters and Refugees. They were people that needed homes, work, and just a place where they felt safe. Few stretches of land left were as safe as Beechwood, thanks to the Dragons. Xen and Ana’s Court wasn’t entirely made up of Dragons, though, of course, there were some. There were more of the other Supernatural folks and small camp of humans, gifted and not, that were under their protection. There was no doubt about who was the King and the Queen, but both Xen and Ana tried to allow each group a voice; after all, they were in the survival business together.
Xenophon was ahead of Ana on the path. He’d caught a scent that wasn’t familiar, and meant to explore it. He was dressed very simply, because he was likely to Shift Form. He was barefoot, bare-chested, and had on a pair of jeans. He was, simply put, built like a Greek god – a phrase he would once have found nearly sacrilegious – and moved with a hunter’s grace. He ran his fingers through his shoulder length hair, and went still beside a tree as he heard someone approach. Xenophon had learned long ago that stillness, more often than hiding, was often enough to pass unnoticed. He watched a woman come down the path, and smiled, she was either young in truth, or young at heart, by how she moved and her overall demeanor. Xenophon waited, making sure the air did not give him away, and then called out.
“Good Morning.” He greeted her, when she came inside sprinting distance. “Out for a morning stroll?” Xen leaned against the tree, smiling.

Anacaona was out with her king well it was different when your king was on the ground and you took to the air to cover a greater distance and to bring in the softly rolling clouds dispelling storms. Yes he was ahead of her but that was only because she was not on the ground. The mass of Dragon manipulated the air currents and already coaxed the rains into a place they were needed. She did not make a sound as she plopped from the heavens into a clearing large enough for her to do so. Turning back into a woman was fun; it was always. The feathers withdrawing the slick skin that pulled the green into some where hidden. The red of her eyes bleeding away into the blue that seemed to near blossom. Drawing a simple green long sundress over her lack of clothing she would make a slight jog with her bare feet to where her king was. But that meant she was in the open when she happened upon; not only her King but another standing with him.
Her long ebony hair hung around her and she smiled softly to both Xen and the other “Good morning.” Her hands clasped before her as she waited for what was next to come.

She walked quietly along the path, walking on the balls of her feet almost as if she were dancing along. This was the first time she had ever stepped foot on these lands and she was trying her hardest to take everything in. The day was bright and sunny and it kept her mood light, especially how she had snuck off her kinds lands into unknown ones, as far as she knew they were safe. Hearing a voice she stopped and lowered her head looking to where the voice had come from. Her brown eyes found an attractive male leaning against the tree. Smiling at him she clasped her hands in front of her as she replied, “Good morning to you as well”
Taking a few steps closer she still left a safe distance between them. His scent tickled her nose and it was the same scent that hung in the air around this place. Nodding her head she smiled brightly. “Yes I am.. Are you doing the same?” asking him curiously. Her dark eyes moved to a beautiful dark haired woman who came up from behind him. Her smile returned quickly as she remained where she was. “hello”

“In a manner of speaking, yes.” Xenophon replied lightly. “We make it a habit to do the rounds. It’s a beautiful place, a sanctuary to many, and we’d like to keep it that way.” He felt his Queen’s approach and turned to her with smile. He raised his eyebrows slightly, his nostrils flaring as he took in the woman’s scent. Xen met Ana’a eyes for a moment and tilted his head slightly, before turning back to the Shifter. “My name is Xen, this is Ana, my Wife.” He held a hand out to the beautiful brunette with the bright blue eyes.
“We don’t often see new faces in Beechwood, though I’m always happy to meet someone new.” He met the woman’s eyes, “Lived in the area long?”

Ana found her head tilting, none knew her except in the tales of a warrior woman who died a woman who was named after the Toltec warrior. Ana nodded when Xen introduced her to the other who carried exotic features, Ana wasn’t sure she could pin point them but it appeared to be a fair blend of Asian and native American though she could no longer be sure. Slipping her hand into his she came to stand beside him; Ana again nodded as Xen spoke “I would like to add that you are safe here.” Her eyes and attention would turn entirely to Xen and with a gentle smile she added. “Perhaps our guest would like to walk though the gardens or join us for tea. Meetings of any stature shouldn’t be conducted in the woodlands.”
Ana’s smile grew her eyes returning to the young woman before them. “I am also expressing this offer because I have brought in the rains for the ground was looking a little parched and we can offer you shelter from them perhaps extend an invitation to you and your leaders for dinner at a later date.”

Valdis tried to not stare at the Dragon King. Nodding her head as he spoke of making rounds and how this place was a sanctuary to many. "I promise I am not here to cause trouble" she spoke honestly to him. All she had ever wanted to do was just see the dragons and their lands and how they kept them so beautiful. Her attention was pulled to the dark haired woman that approached them. She was very beautiful. At Xen's introduction of them both Val smile grew. "It is a pleasure, I am Valdis"
Listening to the both of them she continued to smile, "Thank you both. I have lived here all my life." she almost slipped on how she often tried to slip onto their lands or try to sneak a peek of one of them in dragonic form. Val thought it wise to just shut her mouth at that not to embarrass herself at all. As Ana spoke she looked to her and nodded at the invitation to walk in her gardens and to have tea.
"I would love to see more of your land. It has always been so beautiful even when I was little. Plus shelter from the rain is an added bonus"

Xen smiled and felt Ana turn to him, so he gave her his attention, smiling more brightly when he met her eyes. He looked up, his nostrils flaring slightly, and looked up at the sky. “Ana makes a good point, and as always, a better reminder.” His eyes lowered back to the Lioness, “How about tea, and if I my sense of smell hasn’t failed me, maybe a rare steak would suit you this afternoon as well?” Xenophon chuckled, and leaned in to kiss Ana’s cheek. “I don’t hold meetings in the woods.” He paused with a smile, “Anymore.”
He shook his head and approached, offering Valdis his hand, “I didn’t think that you were, Valdis. It was more of an invitation.” Xen gestured, “It could just as easily be a sanctuary for you as well. Especially a local girl, we like to keep those around, not enough of them.” Xen nodded, “Excellent, come with us then. We flew out, so it’s a fair walk.” He tilted his head, “You wouldn’t be one of those little girls, running through, stealing our apples about ten or fifteen years ago would you?” Xen chuckled, “Walk or fly?”
